ピエール & バカンス プレミアム アーク 1950 ル ビレッジ(Pierre & Vacances Premium Arc 1950 le Village)

We had a great stay at Pierre Vacances / Manoir de Savoir. It is a very organised and professional apartment/chalet block in a good location. The rear taxi/bus drop-off and waiting lounge is very helpful when departing. The gym and spa is a little dated but still good quality and has two saunas. The reception staff are very helpful and courteous, especially Flora who helped us overcome some problems with the wifi and a query regarding our transfer back to Bourg that required telephoning our travel agent. Our apartment was very clean and well-stocked with good quality furnishings and linen. It was also very warm. There are TWO areas for improvement. Firstly, the spa needs to be strictly adults only, as often there are many children. Two, the ski lockers are a padlock. This is fine, but a key card is just a little easier. We will be back in the future.

We have been coming for years and the village is just charming every time. There are a few new restaurants in the village which is nice to see. The apartments are well equipped and to a good standard. Ski in and ski facilities with a fantastic ski range. Good mountain food and beverage offerings also. Pedestrianised village so super safe for all. We stay in Auberge Jerome which is literally on the ski slope.

Reception staff very helpful, accomadation was modern and all facilities available in the room. Warm cosy and spacious, Good sized TV with some English channels. Beds were large and comfortable. Spa facilities were good but a bit small for the amout of people who wanted to use them after skiing. Ski in and out . Plenty of local bars and restaurants. Allowed late check out on final day

Just arrived home from a wonderful week staying at Pierre Vacances Les Arc 1950. We arrived early on change over day and our room was still being prepared. Axel on reception checked us in and gave us information on where to store our luggage and said he would phone us as soon as the room was ready. We went for a walk around the 1950 village and had lunch. Just as we finished lunch Axel phoned to tell us our room was ready. We had a room in the Manoir de Savoie, it was perfect. Set up for four but perfect for just the two of us. I think four would have been a squeeze. We were so impressed with the faculties on offer in the apartment. Everything you could possibly need. It was immaculately clean, warm and cosy. The village is lovely and ski in ski out. No traffic so safe for children. We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation and would not hesitate to book again, direct with Pierre Vacances. Well done Axel you are credit to your employers, thank you for looking after us so well!

We took 2 flats that were joined together. Small children and parents 1 side and older adults the other and it worked brilliantly. 2 well equipped kitchens, comfortable, clean, warm with balconies with views. Everyone loved the flats. The gym area is good, the sauna and steam room needs upgrading. Tired, lights not working and wooden slats splintered however there was always space in both saunas and steam room. The pool outside is fabulous and a big bonus but needs a new liner. We have been coming to Manoir Savoie for quite a few years and think that time is right to smarten up as it’s beginning to show wear and tear! The snow was very good considering all the news reports, obviously 1950 is high enough and nearly all runs were open. We used the ski school and the teachers were friendly and encouraging and we ranged from expert to total beginner. Staff at reception were very helpful and nothing was too much of a problem. Supermarket offers just about good enough produce. Eat on the slopes which are excellent as most restaurants in village are very disappointing and all serve the same menu, lack lustre service and not value for money.

We have had a fabulous summer family holiday in Les Arcs 1950. We did a lot of research to find a location in the Alps that would give our 8 & 11 year old children freedom as well as having direct access to mountain biking and walking trails. I can honestly say it was perfect. The resort is compact, very pretty & well laid out with a lovely clock tower square providing the central hub where morning exercise classes, sports comps, bands etc are put on daily. The view of Mont Blanc was wonderful and ever changing. Wherever you stay you are no more than a couple minutes from everything. There are table tennis tables everywhere outside so don’t forget your bats (supermarket also sells them), also petanque areas, a beach soccer area, lots of bouncy castles, slack lines, a big sand pit & climbing walls. It’s kids heaven! There are a lovely small selection of cafes shops, restaurants (not everything is open in summer but there was plenty). We stayed in Building Sources Les Marie, apt 40 which we booked on Airbnb. It was ground floor & on the corner so had a lovely covered terrace that got the morning sun. There was a plastic table & chairs which had seen better days but it was ok. Whilst bikes can be locked & kept in the undercover car park we actually brought them up and keep them chained together on our terrace which worked well and made it easier each day as the main trail down towards 1800 was just outside the apt. The apt was ideal for our family of 4, well equipped with plenty of storage. It was really handy having the jacuzzi, sauna, gym just along the corridor. Everything is accessed with your room key to control entry so for Source Les Marie you can use it to access the next door Auberge Jerome outside pool (up to level 2 in lift, across the footbridge, then down to -4 for the pool/jacuzzi/sauna/gym). This is in addition to the jacuzzi/sauna/gym in Marie. The bakery was fantastic & we really enjoyed the morning croissants, especially the Amandes one! It opens at 730am so get there early, and note it’s closed on Saturdays but bread is provided & sold by the supermarket (8-8). Biking trails were really fantastic. To note that compared to UK trails we’d say the colour grading is maybe a step up I.e even the beginner green trails can be reasonably challenging, blues more like reds etc. The trail surface is quite loose lots of rock so can take a bit of getting used to, expect juddering arms! Also note some trails are for both walkers & cyclists so just be aware! For cycling you always start by going down from 1950, to 1600 where you get the lift up. There are lovely trails coming back down to 1600, or you take trails across to 1800 (Blue Legends was our absolute favourite). This takes you across to 1800 where you get Trans Arc cable car up to the highest area above 2000. Up here there is a lovely picnic spot plus access to peaks for walking, trails around the lakes (up and down), as well as trails back down to 2000 & 1950. This is the way to retur

This has to be the most photogenic resort in France. Beautiful architecture. The hotel itself is clean, modern and the staff are professional and friendly. Ski in ski out. I thouroughly enjoyed my holiday here.

We recently enjoyed a family trip to 1950 and stayed in this accommodation. Pierre & Vacances are renowned for placing their accommodation in prime positions - this is one of them ! Perfectly located, ski-in/ski-out and in a wonderful area surrounded by shops and restaurants. Spacious rooms, all with fine views. You can actually state what type of view you want. We chose the building with an outside pool and hot-tub, otherwise there is the choice of an indoor pool in the alternative accommodation. Staff very friendly too. Just a couple of minutes ski from the nearest lift or you can walk to the gondola which will take 2-3 minutes, which will take you up to Arc 2000. Booked accommodation with Firefly Holidays ( Cheshire ) - very knowledgeable on the resort and area.

Beautiful rooms, but not the quiet family residence this is advertised to be. Neighbours are rude and loud, many of them disregarding the rules about skis and boots inside the building. Plenty of people having loud parties late into the night, and the soundproofing in the building is not made for it! Such a shame because otherwise it's perfect. Lovely bars and restaurants, ski in, ski out, beautiful village. Half the time there is no one at reception to complain about the noise.
