A classy little slice of Miami in Bournemouth! Both restaurants, Old Harry Rocks & South Beach offered a great choice of well priced food & drinks. Service was friendly & professional. Reception staff were also very helpful. & I felt cared about the hotel. We booked the “cosy” room (the most basic in the hotel) & it was perfect (minus the sea view obviously!) Super-king bed which was so comfy. Plenty of room with all the amenities you would expect in a 5 star hotel, including a good size bathroom & big shower. All tastefully done! The outdoor pool was a delight especially as the weather was so lovely for mid September. The pool is heated to 29c & there’s the option of the indoor pool. Nice view of the sea through the trees from both restaurants & pool area. A special treat!
The superior rooms were large, clean, nicely furnished with great views of the 1st tee and 18th green. The bed (2 twins pushed together) was extremely comfortable. Really nice bathroom. Some limited parking just outside the lodge was useful. Every member of staff was friendly, helpful, and polite. They went out of there way to make it a wonderful stay. Nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was well cooked and good value. We were two couples having a mini break. My husband and our friend both said the golf course was in good condition, challenging and fun. It helped they had great weather. While they were hitting balls around the course, myself and the other lady in the party both had head and back massages from the on site beauty therapist, and it was really relaxing and effective. I would recommend a visit. She was really lovely. Meyrick park is located a short walk to the pier, seafront, shops and restaurants. Although, due to a few steep hills we did get a cab back after a few drinks and dinner on the seafront. This was our first visit and it won't be our last. We will definitely be going back. Highly recommended from our party of 4.
We've stayed here 8 to 10 times before and it's usually been a great trip. My husband is disabled and Marsham Court have always had the facilities to cater for him. However, in staying there in April and Sept 2024, things have drastically changed for the worse. We found plastic in my husbands breakfast in April, which was dealt with with an extra nights stay paid for by the hotel. Fair enough. However, my husband is double incontinent but they only changed his dirty pads every 3 days! However the real problems started in Sept. Pads were changed every day this time, but the bedroom floor was filthy and wasn't cleaned for 48 hours after our arrival, despite management saying it would be sorted by 1pm the following day. The hoist that is used by our carer to transfer him from bed to chair then failed, suspending my husband in the air for 25 mins or so, before the engineers could attend, making marks on his body (marks of which were evident even the next morning). When I complained, the attitude of the director James Dixon was awful, with him saying I always complain and that we shouldn't come back to the hotel again. I only complain when there is a justifiable reason. I wrote a compliant letter afterwards and they wrote back dismissing my claims out of sight, telling me there are 2 other hotels up the north of England than can cater for us!! Avoid this place at all costs.
Me and my family had breakfast few days ago and was particularly impressed with Priti ..how smoothly everything she organized and was very friendly with us she helped us in clicking our pictures as well Thankyou you for making our visit memorable . And thankyou all the staff The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable , will visit again.
LLara FayeFriendly welcome, room was quiet, clean and came with all the usual stuff you need for a short stay. It's less than a 10 minute walk to the beach and not far from town. No frills but still good value for money.
Enjoyable stay
