ロイヤル バース ホテル & スパ ボーンマス(Royal Bath Hotel & Spa Bournemouth)

Nice looking hotell facing the ocean but several things was not up to standard: 1. Very hard beds without any bed matress. 2. Staff could not preorder taxi. 3. Wifi not included. 4. Wrong information about breakfast time for weekend so I paid for a breakfast i could not use. 5. Breakfast did not taste very well and there was not much to choose from. 6. No floor well in bathroom so any water from showering or taking a bath just stayed there. 7. No heated floors in bathroom to vaporize water. 8. No room cleaning when staying several days. 9. Confusing floor plans. It was like walking in a maze. I had to manually drag my heavy bags up and down stairs for half an hour before finally understanding where I should go. There were elavators haphazardly placed throughout the hotell. If you took the wrong one your level 3 would not be connected to this elevators level 3. 10. No safe in room. 11. There was 1 chair and one tiny desk but they didn’t fit together so it was impossible to use it for work. (chair barely fitted under the desk but there were no room for my legs. So I had to sit sideways to be able to write on computer.

I WOULD GIVE 0 STAR IF I COULD but there is no such option unfortunately! The room doesn't look at all same like you see the picture on their website. Very very poor condition for the price you're paying! When we check in and entered the room we found a dirty socks on the floor near by the balcony door and the floor looked like wasn't hoover at all. The room stinked of drainage even if we tried to keep the toilet room closed the room still stunk (we had to buy air freshener to minimise a bit the smell). On the day we checked in (30/08/22) once returned back to the room in afternoon as we switched on the light we found a big spider net by the luster(see pic). All the room was covered in dust. Floor very very badly creaks in the room which would make my baby wake up when trying to go toilet. Door Balcony was really baddd, not able to open or close properly and the window was broken (see pic). When I went that afternoon to tell manager about the situation he said that he can give us another room but "they are not any better" and he was really annoyed by the fact I'm coming late to tell him about this issues!!! He didn't look surprised or apologetic which means they are aware the accommodation they provide to their customers! We were with our baby on holiday which this made us decid after first night to book somewhere else because this hotel wasn't SAFE, even thought we knew we will loose our money. I WON'T RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone ever in my life, so for sure we will never return here again

The hotel is old. The breakfast is so so. They said the rooms are not cleaned everyday.

A little bit faulty towers but overall was great ‘budget luxury’ for me in a really convenient location. Lovely old hotel beautiful bar area overlooking outdoor gardens. Comfortable chesterfield lounges and sometimes live music and dancing. Rambling hall ways and stair cases. So your room could be a bit of a walk away through funny little hallways around corners and up stairs so check this before leaving the check in desk! Heaps of people had trouble finding their rooms. Then key cards aren’t programmed properly on several occasions I had to walk back to desk and back to room. But apart from having to wipe some mould off a wall …. overall I was happy with stay and location as I got a good deal on Trip.com £35 nite. And they upgraded my room from no window (is this even legal? To sell a room with no window) to a small double with opening window and bath. So I was happy. There is no servicing of rooms so if staying a few days you need to ask housekeeping or front desk for more supplies. Finishing off my coast path walk this hotel is located a 25min bus ride or 15min train ride from Poole. Located right next to Bournemath Beach, promenade and pier in Bournemouth on bus routes 5, M1 and M2. Catch the number 5 bus from the train station to drop you a few meters from the door on Bath Rd. For walking coast path bus 50 leaves from top of Bath rd to Swanage for £2 including the ferry crossing at Sandbanks then you can catch another bus to Durdle door should you wish. Check bus times. Walk on ferry crossing from Shell bay to Sandbanks is free or £1 in other direct (Sandbanks to Shell Bay). I walked to Sandbanks from the Bath Spa Hotel along the beach promenade. Really nice long walk. The hotel features a good buffet breakfast for £12 and average quality buffet dinner (on the night I went) for £15. There was enough tasty items to make it worth while for me. Get in early as they stop replenishing the food if not busy and things run out. It’s a lovely dining ambient overlooking beautiful lawns and outside lounging area. Staff in the dining area were really lovely and helpful and happy. I didn’t use the pool and hot tub but it looked great in a separate conservatory outside area. Some staff were 5 star in their service one bar girl was almost rude and very unhelpful when I asked about wine she just said ‘I don’t know’ and didn’t refer me to the drinks list until I asked a few more questions and she finally said ‘yes there on the bar’ as if I should have known that detail. The rest of staff most helpful and friendly after I stayed a few days. The hotel is vast and a bit like a rabbit warren. One room they gave me was up 21 stairs and I said no way am I lugging my big suit case up there so she changed it to a lift floor no problem. So check these details and don’t accept what you’re unhappy with otherwise they try get away with things if they can. Stand your ground.

I visit this hotel many times and am always surprised when people give it bad reviews...it is one of the best value for money hotels around. The staff are always friendly and we seem to always get a free upgrade.

My room had brand new carpet , super cleaned and had a sea view. The only hiccup was the heating was on too high, so had to manually turned it off so enjoyed a better night. Overall great spot , lovely gardens with history .

Had a great couple if nights here, the hotel is looking great, its been decorated and is really fresh looking whilst still keeping its old world charm. Love the pool area, steam room, sauna. We were given an upgrade on arrival which was most unexpected, had a lovely large room with a beach view. Fantastic location. Will definitely go again.

Hotel staff polite , helpful and informative. Room on the third floor, lift didn't go from ground floor to third floor directly, there were some stairs. Have mobility issues so it was a bit of an issue. There was a way up but it was quite long. Breakfast was extra, didn't have breakfast as I don't eat much. Bed nice and big and comfortable. Room warm, I'm not technical but the radiators didn't really work. Didn't complain as I was only staying a few days, and the room was warm. Room decorated clean and tidy, furniture worn and out dated. Bathroom just a few things needed updated. Shower excellent, lots of hot water and lots of pressure. View from windows was the back of hotel, it was the back end of hotel. I have not had much experience in staying in hotels, this was OK for me, bar area was massive, lots of comfortable sofas and chairs.
