The only thing I might add to the many reviews this exceptional B&B has garnered is that all of the compliments are true! The property is lovely, well-maintained and beautifully furnished. The views from almost every window are terrific. Our room (Egret) was comfortable and graciously appointed. The made-to-order breakfasts were delicious and abundant. In fact, we could have lingered for far longer than we did over the morning coffee, fresh fruit, creative entrees (e.g. Tony's special omelet with caramelized onions, shiitake mushrooms and gorgonzola) and delightful company of our hosts and fellow guests. Best of all, Julie and Tony are as warm, hospitable and helpful as two innkeepers could be. They are the kind of people you can easily imagine being your dear and long-time friends. All in all, a wonderful experience in a very special place!

My wife and I did two nights recently and we were so pleased with every aspect of our stay. From the magnificent views of Branford Harbor to Tony's famous ****ake omelet and fresh fruits, and some of the most gracious hosts I've had the pleasure to know, our experience was truly beyond all expectations. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended.

I spent a couple of nights at this wonderful B&B. What’s not to like - a lovely location, fabulous views, delicious omelettes, welcoming hosts, comfortable room and bed! Julie and Tony were great to work with and had good suggestions for restaurants and things to do nearby.

This is probably the best B&B experience we've ever had. Just perfect. The warm hospitality, the view of the water, the nearby activities, and the breakfast was perfection. We loved the spa jacuzzi in our room both morning and night. The bed was extremely comfortable. We even swam across the habor as we are both swimmers and it was most refreshing! Very much recommend taking the Thimble Islands Cruise Tour as well... fascinating! Totally enjoyed every minute of this weekend.

What a delightful place to stay! It is everything as described and more. Our suite was so restful and the views outstanding. It is impossible to capture the peace and serenity in a sentence. Julie and Tony are such gracious hosts and made our anniversary getaway very special. Their recommendations and reservations for restaurants and things to do were perfect. The breakfasts were delicious. The wine and cheese (and more) hour provided a nice opportunity to meet fellow guests and learn more about the area. They can't control the weather, but they shared photos of magnificent sunsets we hope to see on a return visit. We highly recommend Thimble Island B & B.

What a delightful weekend we spent at The Thimble Islands B&B in May! Julie and Tony Broom's home is exquisite, and the view of Long Island Sound and Thimble Islands is breathtaking. I had not visited Stony Creek in many years, and it was even more beautiful than I remember. For a large relatively modern home, The Thimble Islands B&B felt warm and cozy. I loved all of the books in the front hallway. But what I loved most about The Thimble Islands B&B was the way Julie and Tony Broom welcomed us, like long awaited company, even family for the three nights we were there. They enjoy conversation. I wanted to stay and chat at the breakfast table all morning. The Broom's were kind enough to suggest places to visit on Memorial Day weekend, and we did indeed visit Stony Creek Beach, Stony Creek Market, Ashley's Ice Cream and the Dockside Seafood and Grill. But nothing compared to the lovely breakfast of fresh fruit, thick buttered multigrain toast, scrambled eggs and blueberry pancakes at The Thimble Islands B&B. And in the evening, while we enjoyed meandering down Thimble Island Road into town, I still wondered what all those delicious aromas were coming from the dining room at The Thimble Islands B&B! In those moments it felt like we were visiting a fine hotel in New York City. The Thimble Islands B&B is absolutely Connecticut. It is hard to imagine that W. Point Road is only a fifteen minute drive from New Haven and the Yale University Campus. We enjoyed lunch there on Memorial Day, near the University library. My only regret during our visit is that we weren't at the Thimble Islands B&B long enough to spend an afternoon or two on the patio watching the sunset over the Sound, and listening to the birds over the water. If I were to spend the holidays away from home, at any other time of year, this is where I would want to be. The Thimble Islands B&B felt like Paradise, and Tony and Julie Broom its gracious and endearing Lord and Lady.

I needed a solo get away after going through some demanding things for the last year. I wanted a quiet comfortable break and The Thimble Islands B & B was perfect. Tony and Julie are truly nice people who are there to support you and make you feel at home. The house is beautiful, decorated perfectly for the area. My room (Egret room) was spacious with a very comfortable king bed. Windows looking out right on the water. The entire house has water views. Small table in the living room area, right at the windows, great for a breakfast with a wonderful view with classical music in the background. Breakfast was great- fresh fruit everyday, I had pancakes one day (light and fluffy), and an interesting omelette the next day. Coffee and soft drinks during the day and a glass of wine in the afternoon was perfect. Seating outside waterside, but also a screened in porch. Julie and Tony are down to earth but genteel. They provide plenty of information about dining and points of interest in the area. Also, a very important point for me, the entire house is immaculately clean!!! I recommend The Thimble Islands B&B without reservation!!!More

I couldn't recommend Thimble Island Bed and Breakfast any more highly. My wife and I decided to take a weekend away to relax and recharge and Julie and Tony made sure our every need was met. The Egret Suite was clean and spacious. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the linens and robes were high quality. The soaking bathtub, which looked out onto some of the Thimble Islands, was a highlight. My wife and I were able to start each morning watching the sunrise and catch the sunset before heading out for the evening. Breakfast was made to order each day and was superb. Julie and Tony gave us helpful advice as we planned out our activities each day.
