This is an older hotel, the type with creaky stairs, but I am sad to say I could not find any particular charm to it, except the alternatives in Brasov just had terrible reviews. Obviously the selling point is location, with all of central Brasov in a very easy walk, including the main square (just one minute away). The street below was fairly quiet, no bars of restaurants right below only people talking sometimes, and the windows blocked out any noise when closed. Keep in mind for taxi, there is really no way for them to stop on either street by the hotel so you will have to coordinate and move fast. While the room is actually fairly big for a center city area, it has no room safe and the wi-fi is awful - frequently having no connection to the network to the point where I mostly used my roaming instead. The bed was not comfortable, but unlike some older reviews, I did not have problems with hot water or shower. As a non-European, the bulky small comforters and open shower design are not my cup of tea, but that is personal taste. The whole hotel just feels very badly in need of a facelift. They serve a breakfast which is mostly continental with a couple of hot items and espresso machine.
