Hotel Gasthof Lamm

Stayed for one night at a weekend; 4 friends staying in 2 separate rooms. One room arrived back at the hotel after midnight and realised they had lost their key card. There was no one on reception, no night porter and no emergency contact. We were left to sit outside the hotel until we managed to wake one of our friends who had returned earlier who let us into the hotel. We then had to sleep in the hotel corridor until cleaners arrived at 7am to open our room. The room was 180eur per night. This is a fully functioning hotel. It is a disgrace that there is no night time contact for guests. If we were older people and/ or this was winter time this could have been very serious. No manager was made available to discuss this the next morning. I will be taking this matter further.

Breakfast was alright, for 6-7 points out of 10 but that is pretty much it of the pros. Quite a strange experience for the price (€120/night) - a tiny room in the old building with no desk to work on, no ventilation or air conditioning. Imagine the torture of staying there when it gets hot outside! Besides, since the windows need to be kept always open, there was poplar fluff all over the room (there are poplars galore in Bregenz). The other building seems to have slightly larger rooms and air conditioning, so unless you are absolutely certain to get a room in that newer sections, you are better to find a bed elsewhere. There was also a strangely located TV set (high up on the side wall, so the only viable way to watch it is when you stand at the door) and no kettle or mini-bar/fridge whatsoever.

Das Hotel Lamm in Bregenz hat zwar einen schicken Neubau, aber unser Zimmer befindet sich im Gästehaus auf der anderen Straßenseite. Älteres Gebäude, Zimmer ist klein und muffig, Badezimmer winzig, die Duschkabine ist total verdreckt. Das Badezimmer stinkt richtig. Silage? W-Lan funktioniert überhaupt nicht im Gästehaus, aber im Haupthaus. Abends in der Bar des Hotels noch ein Glas Österreichischen Wein trinken, darauf habe ich mich gefreut vor allem auf eine gute Auswahl. Ich frage den Kellner, der offensichtlich aus dem Osten Deutschlands kommt. Nö, es gibt neben grünem Veltliner noch einen Blaufränkisch. Aha. Das erinnert mich doch an die "guten alte DDR…" Nachts ist das Haus furchtbar hellhörig, es stinkt furchtbar, an Schlaf ist kaum zu denken obwohl die Matratze gut ist. Das Frühstücksbuffet befindet im schicken Haupthaus in einem viel zu engen Gang. Der Andrang ist groß und die Damen vom Service kommen kaum hinterher aufzufüllen. Absolut keine besondere Auswahl am Buffet.

Sehr netter Empfang und sehr sehr freundliches Personal. Es wir auf Sauberkeit großen Wert gelegt. Das Frühstück ist reichlich gedeckt , da findet wohl jeder etwas. Das Restaurant bietet Nachhaltige Speisen und Getränke an. Die Speisen sind exzellent gemacht.

Tijjdens onze fietstocht rond de Bodensee, zijn we in dit hotel geplaatst. Wij verbleven in het gasthaus aan de overkant van de weg. Een eenvoudig, maar prima verblijf. Het ontbijt was zeer compleet, met verschillende soorten brood, vleeswaren, kazen, etc... De bediening was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Enige minpuntje, er waren maar zeer weinig stopcontacten om de elektrische fietsen op te laden in de fietsenstalling.
