Hotel Lukashansl

Truly terrible. Avoid at all costs. I stayed there for a ski course. The building itself is somewhat 'tired'. In its day approx 30 years ago it would have been quite pleasant as its a fairly traditional Austrian hotel. But maintenance and upkeep has obviously been done to a budget and fairly poorly. But for budget accommodation it could be more than acceptable except for the following significant issues. 1] It is used as a base for accommodation for a lot of ski courses, which means large groups of younger and understandably boisterous students. If you are looking to stay as a private guest, this is something to consider 2] Food. Absolutely appalling. When you see the owners husband eating at the local restaurants, no further comment is needed. Although I was on a package which included evening meals, I would dine out. 3] Hygiene. Cleaning is basic at best and on closer examination of accommodation, there is a grubby feel to the place. Whatever you do, don't go into the kitchens. Horrifying. Also the owners' 2 yappy dogs are given free rein to wander round in there. Draw your own conclusions.. 4] THE OWNERS. I have never experienced such miserable, rude and antisocial people in my life. The guests are obviously a total inconvenience to them and are treated with total disdain. Makes Basil Fawlty look like a saint. Lots of fees ( i.e. tourist tax ) are cash only. Room prices seem to be made up on the spot. Again, draw your own conclusions.

Lovely and friendly hotel and staff. Room very clean and spacious for one. Food cooked really well. If you're after a small and quiet place to relax Bruck is perfect while only 15mins away from the skiing on the free ski bus.

Great holiday - great hotel! Location, rooms, staff, bar, music, food, excursions - all top! We had a great time and will for sure come again! There are great excursions in this area and back at the hotel we had nice evenings with good food and wine. Some evenings we had live music at the hotel bar - really nice!

If it were possible, I would rate it minus 1! I've been to many places, but I've never met such ****y staff! Not a smile, not a thank you... They cut something that can't be called food in front of you! The "server's" hair is hanging in the food They can't cook, the taste and texture of the food is unclassifiable!! There was a day when they weren't even able to serve us, we had to go to the kitchen where they were cooking to get the food!! They don't even know about hygiene! The rooms are smelly and dirty! Things are broken in the bathroom! Everyone should avoid this leprosy colony far away

We had a beautiful holiday at hotel Lukashansl! It was perfect for us as family! Big new rooms in Austrian style! Very friendly staff and beautiful Terrasse and garden! For Exkursionen perfect spot and in this area so many possibilities! We enjoyed every minute and will come again!

Have been coming here for years its a very nice hotel with friendly staff and nice food. Set in the beautiful area of Bruck, with good links to one of the best and biggest ski resort in Austria (Schmitten)

I have been going to Lukashasl for many years, and love the area that it is in and how easy it is to get to schmittenhohe. The river runs right outside the hotel, with views of the church. Nice restaurants in walking distance. Love the building, rooms, staff and bar of course. Food is great too.

Mein Zimmer war vergeben, wurde untergebracht in der Pension wo der alte Bettbezug vom Vorgänger drauf war. Bekam dann wieder ein neues Zimmer wo der Föhn defekt war (es war schon spät am Abend)! Frühstück war eine Katastrophe. Mehrere Wurstsorten auf einen Haufen geschmissen. Personal sowas von unhöflich und gleichgültig, habe ich so noch nie erlebt! Nie wieder dieses Hotel...

Das Hotel ist rassistisch! Nicht nur das Personal, sondern auch die Besitzer. Wir hatten über booking gebucht und als wir da waren, wurden wir einfach beleidigt. Ich bin fassungslos. Eine Freundin von mir trägt ein Kopftuch, sie wurde sogar darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass sie in ihr Land zurück gehen soll. Wir wollten dann früher abreisen, weil wir nicht gut behandelt wurden.. mussten aber trotzdem den vollen Preis für die Woche zahlen… Obwohl das Zimmer ein Bett weniger zur Verfügung hatte - wir hatten ein Vierbettzimmer gebucht - aber nur ein Doppelbett mit Schlafsofa ( dreckig und Blutig ) erhalten. Ich lege euch das ans Herz BITTE WÄHLT EIN ANDERES HOTEL
