Great overnight stay. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Had dinner in the restaurant and the food served was excellent. Lots of Gluten Free options and at breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable with fluffy towels. GF biscuits for one of us even left in the room. Car park available and a short walk to the seaside. Couldn’t fault the place. Would definitely recommend.

Don't usually write food riviews just hotel riviews had a wonderful meal at the Royal oak on the 15 of June last day of our holiday in Cullen. We went a few days earlier at lunch time had the Cullen skink superb on this we booked a meal on the last day of our holiday. I had the steak pie the best pie I have ever had . followed by the apple crumble which was lovely my wife and sister in law had the shared lobster seafood platter which was superb they then had sticky toffee pudding and also the apple crumble. Which they booth enjoyed the staff were lovely next time in Cullen we will return

Out for lunch today, with my mother, granny & two very young daughters, the staff are amazing especially with young children, up speaking to them, willingly making them feel welcome compared to some places around this area. Food was amazing as always. highly recommend for people with children.

Had a lovely overnight stay in the Royal Oak this week. Spacious bedroom and bathroom with hot shower. Toiletries top quality with beautiful fluffy towels.Ate in the dining room and enjoyed the extensive choice of food on the menu. Have eaten here before and left clean plates. All food locally sourced by the hotel. Had a good night's sleep and enjoyed a cooked breakfast in the morning. Again breakfast food locally sourced and so delicious. Plenty of cold food on offer too for those who do not want a cooked breakfast. Owner and staff are lovely.Helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodation in the Cullen area. A great experience.

We had a really delicious lunch at The Royal Oak. The scampi was really good. Other members of the family had fish cakes which they really enjoyed. The service was great and we will definitely be back. Thank you very much for a lovely lunch. It was all very easy and efficient from booking to paying the bill. I would definitely recommend.

A really wonderful bar & restaurant, the staff are amazing, they were so friendly and the service was fantastic. We were on a week's holiday and ate their twice and the food was really great. Lovely for a drink and dogs welcomed! A must if you are in Cullen.

This is a lovely friendly place to have a drink or eat some lovely food. Staff were all very friendly and even laughed off an incident with some rogue tomato ketchup. This was in keeping with Cullen which is a beautiful wee town and definitely worth a visit.

We stayed weekend, could not be better. We were late travelling up but Brenda went out of her her way to keep kitchen as late as they could to accommodate us. We arrived just in time and were served lovely meal. Breakfast too was very good but best of all was that all the staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel room was on the small side but clean and cozy. Short walk to the beach or into the village. Also golf course five minutes walk. Highly recommended

Stopped for lunch with friends. Waitress with overpowering and unpleasant perfume. A quiet place with just a few customers. Service ok but nothing special. Food typical of small hotels in Scotland - no imagination and average at best. Coffee was ok. Prices out of proportion.
