Meininger Budapest Great Market Hall

Here everytime we come we feel home. Very warm place with warm people. Allways full with tourist but never late for anything. Rooms are ok, clean enough space and quiet. Beds are ok except for pillows that are a bit hard for me and my neck contition.

The hotel is very welcoming, great views, perfect recreational spaces for spending evenings with friends and very friendly and helpful staff. I didn't like the food very much, The beds are very comfortable but I was very annoyed by the fact that the windows could not be opened

The environment is very beautiful, located in a point overlooking the Danube and 5 minutes from the center. Slightly rude staff and poor quality food. Welcoming environment, there are many students in this period, especially Italians. I'm quite satisfied.

Perfect location, large family rooms (superior room), clean, good beds. Tip for families with children: pay a little extra for a superior family room. You get ample space, there is a separate 'room-in-the-room', so you actually have 2 rooms.

I stayed in one of the private rooms, not the dorms /shared spaces. The room was perfect for me traveling alone. The staff seemed a little disinterested or tired every time I interacted with them, and the shower did appear to have mold in it, but other than that everything was fine and very clean. I requested an extra towel to go to the thermal baths and they provided it without charge, but everything else is an extra charge—borrowing an umbrella, toothbrush, etc. There is a bar in the lobby with lots of snacks, drinks to order, tons of workspace, games, laundry on site, and they even had a chill DJ one night. It was a cool place, would definitely consider staying again but the price for the private room was a lot for staying in what technically is a hostel.

Review of tues 19.12.23: Room 416 Hotel MEININGER Budapest Beautiful hotel with modern room decor. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. A heated towel rail for convenience. No safe or coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast was delicious and a variety. Opposite the great market hall and in walking distance to the chain Bridge and Danube River cruises. Istvan at reception was very helpful and friendly with tourist tips. Fashion Street for a lovely Xmas Market atmosphere. Free Wi-Fi is available. Coffee shop and work stations at reception.

When I first looked at the room i wasn’t expecting much since we were only staying for 2 nights. But OH MY LORD the beds are amazing!! The location of the hotel is very convenient as it is not too far from shops and restaurants as well as it is right across the street from the biggest market hall in Budapest. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere of this place was awesome. We saw a lot of people just come into the cafe attached to the hotel and just sit down and do work or talk with friends. Would definitely stay here again :)

Poor attitude of staff I pardon for a double room ,and they give me a family room full of manybed,s When I ask to change the room for a normal one the staff was very rude . The answer was stupid! Nobody will come to sleep în your room.

We ate at and excellent booth restaurant in the mall. They are located on the second floor and, the food was EXCELLENT. The family who runs the business we great people. friendly, kind. The food was hot ,fresh and tasted great at a very good value. Stop and try something you are at the Great Market. Here re just a few pictures of the excellent food, I love bacon !!!
