Very cheaper

I originally booked a private room for a week during a business trip, but ended up staying a month. The place is in a great location, the rooms are comfortable and live up to the value for your money. The staff is courteous and helpful. The manager Karsci is a very articulate and interesting person to talk with, and supervisor Anita is a walking honey pot, the sweetest lady I met in Budapest during my stay. Also had great chats and laughs with Raj and Federico from reception. You want to complain all day even if things are perfect, go to the Ritz Carlton for 1000 euros a night... You want to just live a happy stay with modest but comfortable accommodation and great location, come to Baroque Hostel!!!

This is probably the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in! There was an outdoor seating area for you to enjoy the summer evenings and several kitchen/dining areas all of which were available for use by everyone regardless of where in the hostel you were. The place had an Alice in Wonderland feel with several doors to different sections being disguised as wall mirrors which is a touch I personally enjoyed. The hostel itself is not very centrally located however there is a metro station less than a 10 minute walk from the hostel which will have you in the centre in less than 10 minutes! My only complaint about the room is there were no mirrors physically in the twin room we stayed in so drying and styling hair etc was a bit of a challenge. Overall, a budget friendly place to stay for a sightseeing trip!

I live in Manchester, England. I was in Hungary for a short holiday and I wanted to make the return trip by plane. Since the plane only left the next day and I left Zala County, I booked accommodation for the night online at Bookin.com. When I arrived and saw the receptionist, he told me that due to the instructions of his boss, I could not stay there. He called his boss and he confirmed. I didn’t get any explanation, I didn’t get compensation, and I didn’t even return my money paid. They threw me out of there.

I spent a night here in a private dbl room in 2018 and it was very cheap and had a pleasant experience so i booked another time for yesterday night. I understand its a hostel and i do not have high expectations whatsoever, but this time i literally havent slept a minute cause people were talking, drinking, laughing, listening music in the communal living room that was next to my bedroom, during the entire night til the morning, 2 people was still laying on the communal couch like it was a house party when i went to have a shower at 6.30am. I have a very high tolerance for hostels because they re cheap so i put up with anything, but sleeping supposed to be the only purpose of my stay, which couldnt happen this time. Its sad cause i did like this place.

We had a lovely stay at the Baroque hostel. Staff were very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. The city is beautiful, lovely architecture and history throughout the city.
