2nd アベニュー ビーチサイド アパートメンツ(2nd Avenue Beachside Apartments)

Great stay, great location! Can't wait to come back to visit again

The room was not good. The carpet was filthy and crusty on touch of the foot. The whole place needed a dust, dust hanging from the pictures above the bed and walls. We moved the ottoman in the lounged room and the carpet so was dirty and food underneath. Our room clearly used to be a 2 bedroom, and has had a wall knocked down and made a larger main bedroom. The orientation of the bed faced the wall not the ocean. The couch also faced the wall not the ocean. Could not watch tv and look out to ocean at same time. Dining room and lounge needed to be swaped around. Couch was too far away from TV which made the remote difficult to work. No TV in bedroom. Neighbours were smoking pot all weekend which seeped into our apartment.

Great location as walking distance to main shops, restaurants and beach. Stunning view from 8th floor and beautiful to wake up to. There was construction works happening in the upper levels of the building which meant some disruption. Some amenities weren’t working or serviced like the spa and steam room.

The view was amazing but everything else about our apartment was extremely disappointing, including: *The noise from the renovation was terrible and we couldn't wait to get out of our apartment each morning before we got a headache from the demolition of tiles, which seemed to be occurring directly above our heads. I spoke to the receptionist who indicated that the renovation was noted on the booking website. I checked the booking website and there is a note right at the very bottom of the site under Policies. It should have been much more prominent given the noise and access impact of the renovations. *The apartment was extremely dirty and run down (I've even got photos of tiles falling off the wall, piles of dirt in the corners, marks all over the walls, holes in the sheets, difficulty opening and closing cupboard doors etc). *The main air conditioning unit sounded like it was about to 'take off' and you could hardly hear the TV above the noise of the unit. I've travelled the world and even stayed in many Backpacker Hostels that were of a much higher standard than this apartment. I've never left a bad review but this apartment really deflated our family holiday. I would definitely NOT recommend staying at 2nd Avenue Beachside Apartments.

The property itself is quit aged but you can move past that very quickly when you get to wake up to that view everyday. The staff are lovely and my kids loved that there was a PS3 with games in the room!! I would recommend staying.

Location was ideal, view spectacular and the building with all its amenities were great. 2 bed executive, 21c was spacious comfortable and well equipped. The furniture in the living area and balcony was very poor. All very old and worn, sofa and chairs were what you expect in a student flat, not a upmarket Gold Coast apartment. Outdoor furniture was plastic junk from the 80s, only 2 seats for a apartment for 4 people. Cleanliness was fine on the surface, but in need of a good deep clean, sills, window frames etc. Update the furniture and lighting fixtures to the 21st century and the place would be brilliant.

Overall I had the most wonderful stay. The view is stunning and the rooms are lovely plus it’s so close (stones throw) to the beach. The staff also went above and beyond to ensure I had the best stay! Will definitely be back. Big thank you again to Bec, Vanessa & Phil for a wonderful stay!
