Not a 5 star resort. That's not saying it's not a nice resort, because it is, but 5 star resorts have top notch service. First ding, they don't pick you up at the airport, but you can have them set up transportation for you (at your added expense). The Taxi is $75 each way (I checked Uber and it was $55 and the taxi dude matched that price). We were able to catch a travel van on the way there from the airport for $17 a person. We had an "executive suite" which was nice, not their best room but probably in the middle. They never changed the bed sheets in the entire 5 day/4 night stay. They made the bed, but never changed the sheets. They have a well stocked fridge and other goodies for a steep price. The problem is moving their crap out if you actually want to use the refrigerator. We were charged "additional taxes" when we checked out as well. Only like $2-3 a day, but these should have been included in the price. The on-site sushi restaurant was not a good value. They charged us for items we didn't order and watch out for the $4.50 water. Our bill was $200 plus tip for two adults. Each had two margaritas, one appetizer (we had cancled after we told the waiter and he acknowledged, but came anyways) and two entrees. Portions were small, so definitely no "leftovers". The good. The included breakfast is excellent. Take advantage of that, eat a late breakfast (breakfast is over at noon, so be there no later than 11am) and that should tide you over until dinner. The location is great. Close to the marina/downtown but just far enough way that it's an easy walk and you stay out of that busyness. Overall, it's a nice 4 star (at best) resort.

Pros: The food and the service was excellent. We did the All Inclusive package and never ran out of delicious things to try. The service was also amazing. We particularly enjoyed Monica, Jonathan, Chema, Sandra, Omar, and Miquel. Little Cons (and I’m almost embarrassed to say): The bathroom lighting was horrendous. The music at the pool was replayed every day; the same songs. Other than that, the beach was excellent as well as the views from Breakfast and Dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our five day stay.

the beds are very comfortable, and room is basically soundproof. we had a room with fridgefreezer which we used to freeze our fish catch. don’t really have any dislikes except maybe meals and drinks where more expensive then expected. but with fridge in room we just picked up some groceries

Had a great trip and loved everything about the hotel. So close to everything and loved walking to the marina. We will definitely be back.

Positives: you are right in the heart of everything Cabo has to offer. Nice pool area. Big rooms. Friendly attentive staff. Close to many restaurants. Negatives: it’s very loud, as the neighboring bars are literally right next door. As soon as you walk outside you will be accosted by vendors the entire time you are walking around. Food and drinks are EXPENSIVE! The onsite restaurant food is very average. It’s definitely not a peaceful a**osphere.

The staff at Casa Dorado is accomodating with every aspect needed. This was our 4th time and it continues to meet excellent service.

Casa Dorada is always great. The entire staff from check in, to the pool service, car service, and restaurants is simply the best. Love it every time we stay there.
