I wish I had found this hostel before two terrible tries with a filthy Airbnb and a small hotel with a scam artist receptionist. I’ll be back here. The rooftop location is cool and it has real hostel vibes with a guitar and area to hang out, which people do. Offers tours, which are a little overpriced but the convenience of them organizing everything so you can just relax is worth it. I mean, spending hours to find something $20 cheaper isn’t worth it to me. They’ll wash your clothes, hallelujah! I saw them helping a younger guy without a smart phone, to call Ubers for him so he wouldn’t get scammed by taxis … all around great experience with helpful staff.

私と私のガールフレンドはエジプトに旅行しています。もともと予約したホテルに言われた後、外の部屋がもう利用できないと伝えました。(カイロに着陸したら)セシリアホテルに滞在する最後の分はBooking.comまで与えられました。幸いなことに、運命は正しいことをしました!! 気配りがよく、とてもフレンドリーな人々は、カイロのダウンタウンで、中心部、博物館、ショップ、レストラン、カフェに近く、カップルや一人で行くのに非常に安全なエリアでこの小さなホテルを運営しています。無料のWi-Fi、エアコン、朝食、夜に何かを飲み、新しい人々に会うために美しいテラスがあります。部屋はきれいで、2つ星ホテルに良かったです。絶対にお勧めし、戻ってきます!

ロータスホテルという私の時間がどれほど特別だったかを言葉にするのは難しいです。カイロへのシングルで初めての旅行者として、一週間滞在するのに最適な場所であり、日常生活がどんなものか理解できました。一度は街のリズムに自信を感じた(サミール·フェイエクのおかげで)こんなに多くの場所まで歩いて行けることができました。この場所は「豪華な」ホテルではないとしても共有できるほどの性格と温かさがあります。(個人的には、奥行きと話がもっと興味があります。探しているなら、ここにあります。)エイマン、エマド、アビール、イブラヒム、そしてアデル(そして私が忘れていることを知っています、すみません!)は私をとても歓迎し、もっと親切に感じさせました。次のエジプト旅行では、どこにいても、私はロータスに戻って、そこにいるすべての人に挨拶します。ワフィク·ドスさん(ホテルのオーナー)はホスピタリティの世界で宝石と真のプロフェッショナルであり、カイロに戻っても今後も彼のホテルに宿泊していきます。ドスさんは、ロータスやウィンドールに滞在するなら、ぜひ利用してみてはいかがでしょうか。(彼らは一緒に働いて40年を過ごしました。) WafikとFayekツアーガイドは心から働きます。私はそれを経験するのに十分幸運でした、そして私は永遠に感謝するでしょう。

We stayed in a renovated room so bathroom was newly done and the walls were freshly painted. Nice light options to relax with softer light. Curtain and carpet were also new and inviting. Bedding was clean. Bathroom was clean. We enjoyed our stay. It seems that rooms are being updated since other reviews were written. Many reviews seem harsh considering the price you pay. It's a higher end budget stay after all. We got soap, toilet paper and towel. You can't expect everything for a budget price. Reception area was nicely decorated for Ramadan and staff were friendly. Location is great and a fun part of Cairo to explore. Nice night markets! Typical city noises but not too loud to sleep considering its the centre of the city. Balcony sliding doors are new and close but there is no view to mention. Other guests we saw seemed content as they socialised in public area. I prepaid with hotel.com to avoid payment issues. Public areas do need some more renovation and some repairs but again, it did not reduce the comfort of my stay and it was acceptable being dusted and clean.It's good for Cairo. We enjoyed using the quaint art nouveau gilded style lift! A good experience overall.

This was my first time in Egypt and I traveled solo without a plan. I didn't know what to expect and felt slightly overwhelmed on arrival. That quickly changed during the co**** of my stay at Minerva with the help of their amazing staff. Waheed always made sure I was well fed before I left on my daily adventures and that I was where I needed to be for planned excursions! Abdoz went above and beyond to make sure I had things to do and places to go by arranging day trips. He even allowed me to tag along on his personal time when I didn't have anything goin on. Karim was always checking in and making sure things were going well. He continues to check in with me even now that I've carried on in my travels. What makes this place special is the staff. They made me feel like I was at home and made my stay in Egypt truly unforgettable. I will never forget the people and culture of this amazing place! I've left Egypt seeing it in a new light with 100% positive feels =)

The Holy Sheet Hostel has a great location and we felt we were very central in Cairo. The area is somewhat walkable but never feels safe and gives a whole new meaning to walk like an Egyptian. In the morning the streets are quiet but after 2 pm everything seems to get crazy! The staff are very friendly here. The breakfast was nothing special but it was a nice fresh meal with tea or coffee to start our day. Mario, Alex and the kitchen staff were helpful enough and always friendly to us. This is one of the cheaper places to stay in the area so we can't complain too much about it but we wish it was cleaner. We booked the twin room which had a bathroom inside of it. The beds had hair in them already and the room smelled a little bit from the drains. The AC did work well though and the room was very quiet all night which was nice. The toilet and shower are in the same box without a roof or fan so go #2 at your own risk. We chose to use the shared toilets in the hall which had fans. We were a little disappointed with the booking and check in process. We chose Trip for booking and it started three currencies in our booking but also showed we only had to pay 3100 Egyptian Pounds when we arrived for our three night stay based on the currency exchange when we booked. However, when we arrived they told us we booked through Expedia and had to pay 3600 Egyptian Pounds instead. We went back and forth for a bit but because it was late they were kind enough to check us in without paying because they could not reach their manager. The next day however I went to inquire and they said the manager said no and they tacked on another 300 Egyptian pounds to our check in because we were using a credit card. They did say that if we had used Booking or Hostel World we wouldn't have these issues. This has never been an issue in my 4 years using this booking platform so I'm disappointed in this hostel and their management team for this. The hostel is a little tricky to find but it is tucked down a street which is blocked off to cars and is on the 2nd floor of an older building. There is an elevator to get you up there but it is old style meaning that all the doors and gates have to be closed in order for it to operate. There are a ton of cats nearby and some good restaurants and convenience stores too.
