Excellent Parador, lovely communal areas.only downside was not enough parking for the amount of guests

Not the best start, as one of the two receptionists was in an altercation with a customer, leaving the second unable to access the computer, but we did eventually get checked in. Convenient parking. Good location in the centre of town near restaurants. Comfortable, quiet room (superior) which was a reasonable size. Shutters made it lovely and dark at night, although opening and closing them is a bit of a battle. They need some maintenance. Also quiet. Comfortable bed. Furniture is a bit tired, but still functional. Room cleaning was mostly OK, although a glass we had used for orange juice was left uncleaned. Minor oversight, but expected better. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room, which is a little disappointing, although I know this is not unusual in traditional Spanish hotels, but maybe they should move with the times. Did not have breakfast so cannot comment. Had dinner once during 4 night stay. Good service, but an uninspiring menu. Noted restaurant was quite empty, so maybe others share my view. Nice pool and pool area. Easy access to pool towels.

There was an issue checking in with the paperwork I had printed off. The only one out of 5 we visited, despite all having the same info. Food was excellent Disabled room great but needs a fitting on the wall for the shower head for the able-bodied carer. Need to change the access arrangements for car so as not to keep disturbing the staff.

A smaller Parador, which felt very comfortable. Friendly staff, at every level, who were happy to help no matter how small the request or query. Well located in the centre of town, by the seafront.

We had a wonderful stay at Parador de Cambados, Staff were very friendly, were willing and helpful. Spacious room with very comfortable bed, made up as a double as requested. I would certainly recommend this hotel. No complaints. Also lovely little town and area.

I would not recommend this Parador due to their horrible customer service attention. I requested a double room with my reservation and they accepted the reservation but told me that I had to wait until I arrive to know if my request for a double bed would be accepted, which in the case of not having them will result in a bad experience. When any one makes a reservation in any decent hotel, they know which rooms they have available for the requested dates and they will lock it for the customer or advise that they don't have it. In this case they prefer to prolong your wait to the last moment so when you get there you don't have a choice and you will have to pay for whatever they want to give you. This is like a CON GAME If you don't believe me try.

The hotel looked as though it was hundreds of years old, but had been updated so all the amenities were up to date. The hallways had great classic artwork and the view from our room was beautiful. All the people working there were extremely friendly and it was very convenient to walk to the water, restaurants and shopping. My wife thought the bed was the mist comfortable she had slept in for a long time.

The Parador lived up to our expectations for comfort and friendliness of the staff. We always feel there should be more vegetarian food options and the beds could do with being bigger. We are on a quest to find other similar historic buildings to visit within the Parador Group.
