We loved the fact that this building is essentially on stilts (concrete piers) standing in the middle of the river. Our room was on the first floor RIGHT ABOVE THE BABBLING BROOK! We had no idea we'd be getting this, and we LOVED it! We kept the window open even though the temperature was cool. Very romantic and slept like a baby. This is an old Inn, and as result is a little worn, but the room was large and had all the essentials. The location is perfect, parking super-close and easy. Right in the middle of everything. You could spend a bunch more at other Inns and be a short block closer to things, but why? I don't think there is an elevator, if you are on the upper floors. I couldn't find a coin-op laundry in the building, and the desk was seldom staffed to ask. We'd defininately stay here again, for the river and the value over nearby hotels.

We stayed in the room with a view of the river. It was so relaxing having the windows open with the nice weather and hearing the water rush by. The room and inn itself was very clean. The beds were comfortable. I do think that the room itself could use some updating and attention in the bathroom specifically. Overall, the location of this Inn though cannot be beat. We were so close to everything that anything (shopping, food, waterfront) was no more than a 5 min easy walk away. Yet, this was quiet and secluded! The inn had also provided water, ice, tea, hot coco, hot water and coffee anytime a guest would like it.
