We stayed for only one night here, purely as we were travelling to SW France and needed a stop over en route. The accommodation looks and feels brand new. The bedroom is beautifully decorated and the bathroom has a large walk in shower. There is tea and coffee making facilities available in addition to a large bottle of water. Every member of staff went out of their way to make us feel special during our short stay. In addition to this, the gastronomic restaurant provides exceptional quality food in a beautiful restaurant.It was without doubt one of our best meals we have ever had in France. Although we opted for the 4 course menu we were treated to many other ‘tasters’ before and after our main meal, all of which were just stunning not only in flavour but also in presentation. We couldn’t fault our stay at all and hope that we can find a reason to return here in the very near future, albeit for slightly longer than one night next time!

4.5 stars to be accurate! I have already reviewed both the Bistro and the Restaurant Gourmand. We stayed in a downstairs room with a terrace in the modern part of the hotel. I was a bit apprehensive as usually stayed in one of the older room but it was excellent. Very comfortable bed, nice terrace (shame about the weather), powerful shower and excellent wifi. Breakfast was good and pricing on par with similar places in the region. Good toileteries too and towels replaced when needed. Liked the soft-close wardrobe doors. A lot of thought has been put into this place. My main criticism is that there is no bar area for guests to relax. If going to the Bistro there is a small corner area with a big table where we were directed to sit to have our drink. We shared this with a lady who was very nice and had a good conversation but a more comfortable and relaxed sitting area would be better. The other tables were set up for the evening service.. Had the weather been better we could have sat outside on our terrace! Overall thought a very good stay - we were there for 3 days.

We booked a room for one night on our way to La Rochelle. We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food at the bistro was great. The breakfast was well worth the price. Would definitely stay again.

About 7 years ago, I had stayed at the Auberge on my trip to the Loire. It was a quaint hotel run by a couple, Mr and Mrs Rialland. It was such a lovely place. I remember eating nightly on the exquisite cuisine by Mr Rialland, knowing this was on par with the finest dining in Paris. Now I returned with my parents and the hotel has been modernized and enlarged. The food is still amazing in the fine dining restaurant and now they added a great bistro as well. To me, this is the best place to stay while exploring the Loire. I'm sure, I will return in the future. the daily fresh macarons in your room entice me to come back sooner.

We have enjoyed on many occasions spending the last night of our holiday at the Auberge de la Caillere. Before the renovations, it was an outstanding restaurant with accommodation that was more on the basic side, but very clean and comfortable. The renovations which have taken 15 months have changed this completely. The 'new hotel' is really beautiful, in terms of rooms that are now very modernised with excellent A/C (which is always important for us when we visit France in June/July). A new bar/bistro area is a great addition where you can get drinks and snacks throughout the day. The restaurant is as outstanding as ever, - it has to have a Michelin star soon. The best bit about this place is the wonderful couple who run it. Such professionalism and dedication to their business will surely see it be the tremendous success it deserves to be.

It had been a lovely experience staying at this charming hotel for the New Year's Eve weekend. The rooms are really cozy, well-equipped, clean and tastefully decorated. The location was also great as there several castles around you can visit within 30 minutes drive. The breakfast buffet was complete and delicious. The 2 restaurants inside offered very good food. The gastronomic menu we had for the NYE dinner was such a great experience! Everything on the menu was delectable! The staff are really helpful, thoughtful, nice and friendly. Highly recommended indeed!

This is an exceptional property located in the heart of the Loire Valley. The gourmet dining room is excellent, the rooms are new and attractively decorated, and the staff is professional and friendly. A real gem?

We enjoyed our stay very much. A warm wellcome and the excellent venue in all aspects. Thanks a lot ! We were there for à business meeting with 8 of us. The rooms are moderne, confortable, large and quiet. The restaurant is excellent.

An amazing experience in the Loire Valley was added to by staying and dining at Auberge de la Caillere! We traveled the countryside and visited several Chateaus easily accessible in our electric car. They have charging stations that were easy to use. The bistro and main dining room restaurant went above and beyond for approachable and fine dining all at the same time. The hotel rooms were clean, modern and sized well including a balcony view of the landscape. We do not speak French very well but the friendly staff were very helpful in communicating local adventures and helping with any questions we had, in English:) Thank you for a great vacation!
