During my career from 1980 to 2020 I used to travel between 170 and 220 days a year in the USA, EU, ME, Africa and Asia. I have lived most of my life in Hotels. It is very unusual that the whole Team of Reception, restaurant and housekeeping are ALL so professional, courteous and attentive to the guests. Outstanding service of all Team members at the Hotel Canet Plage! We will be back.

Positive Aspects The adapted Room was well-designed for a wheelchair user- hand grips around the toilet and Roll-in Shower. Staff were excellent friendly, helpful, and welcoming! Negative Aspects Nowhere to sit outside and enjoy the sun. No restaurant or swimming pool.

I was told this is the best hotel in Canet. There were right. Be sure to visit the beach club across the street.

It would be very difficult to find any fault at all with this hotel. The friendliest of staff, who work hard to make your stay home from home and succeed. We had booked a room at the back overlooking the town and Mar Estang, a lovely green, lush view and quiet room. The room…..the most comfortable bed, pillows and duvet, a newly renovated hotel, the room was very well designed and although the space was not huge, this almost added to the charm as it was so well planned. The toilet is separate which is useful, the bathroom snug but comfortable and spotlessly clean, lovely soft towels and great toiletries in a nice large pump. We were surprised how frequently we used the Nepresso coffee maker and supplies replenished every day, including artisan tea bags, a small thing but at this hotel there is a great deal of attention to detail. This detail continued to the public areas, in the reception there was always a chilled glass barrel of water with tap which was flavoured with fresh slices of lime, glasses always available to quench any thirst, especially after coming in from the hot sun and sandy beach. A small concise bar menu which is very reasonable for beers, inc artisan local craft beer, hot drinks, wines, spirits etc and small plates of food,inc muffins.. it would have been great to have had this menu available in the room as we were a bit slow to notice it in the bar during the first few days. The bar is at the front of the hotel and well stocked, beautifully looked after. If you do not know the area, Canet Plage is a beautiful long and wide beach with plenty of beach clubs available to hire sun beds and parasols in great settings with a restaurant and bar service. 2 sun beds and parasol in an exclusive and pleasurable setting is around €30 per day. The Best Western Plus is ideally situated with rooms and hotel frontage facing the wonderful blue Mediterranean Sea and glorious beach. The prettiest crazy golf course I have seen is in front of the hotel, this only enhances the view. Countless restaurants are along the front with great lunchtime 3 course menus for around €20 per head. If you are thinking we are totally smitten with the Best Western Plus you would be right, we loved it and will return, the bonus being that it is facing Canet Plage. The view was great. Too bad there were bedbugs. When we told the front desk, they seemed to not know what bedbugs are. They seemed totally unconcerned. It is hard to believe that the staff of an international hotel chain would not know about those nasty little creatures.

A lovely beach side hotel. Wonderful staff who went out of our way to be helpful. It's a great location across from the beach ⛱️⛱️
