ケープ ディエム ロッジ(Cape Diem Lodge)

What a beautiful and well run boutique hotel. After a grueling flight from the US, we arrived to find that our reservation had strangely been canceled. But no worries the fabulous manager (Melina from Germany) put us right in our room and settled us in with no hassle. My daughter and I were grateful for that the room was beautiful and had an adjacent courtyard with interesting Succulent plants. Every inch of the boutique hotel was well cared for and curated. A delicious Chenin Blanc and sparkling mineral water are put out every afternoon for the guests. Lounging around the pool was so relaxing and lovely. It’s a quiet place with beautiful nooks and crannies, including a rooftop. Melina gave us excellent advice,how to navigate the city specifically the waterfront and restaurants and shopping. All her recommendations were spot on. It’s a beautiful, quiet place to stay. I highly recommend Cape Diem and look forward to returning someday on my next trip to Cape Town.

The staff were great. We could book into our room early which was very helpful. We could also leave our bags and use a shower room on our check out day. The pool area is very inviting. Breakfast was lovely. Just a 10 minute walk to the waterfront. Also lovely touches like complimentary afternoon wine and evening whisky. Special thanks to the night porter, sorry I forgot his name, for looking after us so well and his excellent sporting knowledge 👍. We would stay again. Many thanks Paul and Ange

Excellent location for access to waterfront while being in a quiet location. The rooms are of good size and comfortable Staff very helpful with good breakfast The pool and garden area is a fabulous way to relax and enjoy

A lovely place 10/15 minutes walk to the waterfront. We could book into our room early which was really helpful for our plans. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Lovely touches like complimentary wine in the afternoon and Whisky in the evening. The breakfast was delicious. The pool area clean and inviting. There was also the facility to leave bags while we were waiting for our airport check in. All in all cape Diem couldn’t have been more accommodating . Thank you very much

We visited Cape Diem Lodge for our honeymoon, over a two week period in august. From the moment we checked in we were made to feel welcomed by management and staff. We availed of the hotels recommended guide for table mountain and cape point, and would highly recommend asking if interested. The hotel organised an airport pick up for us, ensuring our honeymoon was smooth sailing from the moment we touched down in Cape Town.

We spent 3 nights here at Cape Diem a luxurious boutique hotel in green point, a fabulous hotel with great staff, stunning rooms with super comfy beds. The location is just perfect & only a short stroll to the VA waterfront & many lovely restaurants & bars shops etc. highly recommended.

Such a great find! Really it’s a home from home small but luxurious place to stay. The owners & staff are just so kind & everything has been 100% perfect! Great location just 10 mins easy safe walk to VA waterfront & lots of nearby restaurants bars etc. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

This hotel is really good and I would have liked to have given it 5 stars. Unfortunately we stayed in room 2 which could be one of the worst rooms I have ever booked. My wife and I booked 4 nights. Room 2 is over 2 levels and what the web site doesnt tell you is that if you are over average height you can not stand to get in the bed. The ceiling is so low you can touch it whilst lying in bed. I woke up in the night and for a moment I thought I had been buried alive. Down stairs space is limited and you only have 1 chair and so we could not sit together. We paid to up grade the room for 2 nights and the room was excellent as was other aspects of the hotel. The last night we needed to return to room 2. We could not face this and checked into anther hotel. When I checked the web site it says nothing about how close the ceiling is to the bed, but does say its popular with honeymooners, which did make me smile. So I would reccommend this hotel but not room 2. They need to put this on the hotel web page so people are aware.

What a great place to stay especially for us newbies to South Africa. The location,room garden and breakfasts etc were great but it was the staff that made it awesome from the moment we booked. Bianca and Melina were very quick on email and extremely helpful as we planned our trip.and booked a few restaurants too. Samuel was a gem when we arrived and all the staff were happy to help.A great place to stay and when you don’t want to drive or walk Uber were there in literally minutes
