ワン & オンリー ケープ タウン(One&Only Cape Town)

This hotel was absolutely beautiful but definitely a bit overpriced. The rooms are beautiful and spacious but we were a little disappointed with the housekeeping as there was bird poop on our balcony floor and even after telling them to clean it they didn’t. For the price we definitely expected more. The location is perfect for shopping and the aquarium. Breakfast and room service food were all very good.

Decided to go there for lunch- the lobby area has a nice restaurant where they also serve high tea. The sandwich was okay , fries were soggy. But the place is beautiful. It’s a nice spot for a drink with a view. When high tea is served there is also a pianist.

We were with a group of 5 couples visiting Cape Town. From the moment we walked in, the detail to first class service was felt by all of us! We stayed in the main lodge. The rooms were modern with beautiful decor. We had a large balcony that looked up to Table Mountain. I would love to see the rooms on the "island!" There is a canal that winds through the property where you can see paddleboarders, kayakers, and shuttle boats. The pool looks like a lake with beautiful landscaping, and it sounds and looks like a bird refuge. The service is some of the best we have ever encountered in our travels. Everyone, without exception, acknowledges you with their signature welcome sign of placing their hands over their heart and saying hello The service was also very responsive to any requests. We didn't have a chance to eat at Nobu, the restaurant by the lobby, but we thoroughly enjoyed having cocktails and dinner in their lobby where live music entertained us. O My husband and I were celebrating our 40th anniversary on the trip. One of the Guest Hosts, Lungi Mothibi, heard us mention it, and she surprised us with champagne and a cake that said Happy Anniversary on it that evening!

Have wanted to stay but unable to book we popped in for a mid afternoon drink. Having been given the menu we sat for 15 minutes without further attention. 4-5 staff around all too engrossed in their own conversations to bother with us. So we decided to leave . If this is the level of service in this hotel it’s not for us

What a truly beautiful hotel. We stayed for 4 nights at the end of February and absolutely loved our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful & tastefully decorated. Every member of staff was so polite and helpful, always acknowledging us with a smile. The room was stunning with the most gorgeous view of Table Mountain. The balcony was perfect to sit and enjoy the views. The rooms were very spacious, modern and immaculately clean. Breakfast had a grand selection of everything you could want. The pool area was great, very helpful staff and comfy beds. The grounds of the hotel are lovely to walk around in, which then leads to the V&A waterfront which has a huge array of bars/restaurants. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Cape Town.

I had an absolute blast with my girlfriends, celebrating our annual get together, had amazing catchup sessions while admiring beautiful vies with excelent service from arrival to departure. I'd recommend it over and over again. Had an absolute blast with amazing staff members. The place is a Gem

If I could give this 50 stars I would ! From check in to the room to all of the staff WOW! 6 days and a lifetime of memories! There’s nothing they won’t do for you ! One person who made this trip special for my dad and I was Philemon he was absolutely a gem! He loved helping and making sure every single part of out stay was above and beyond! I cannot thank you enough!!!! We will be back next year because of you! My crew in NOBU thank you !!! Who loves nobu room service!!! I do ! Almost every night it was delivered to the room! The breakfast buffet wowwwww my favorite are oysters and I enjoyed 20 every morning hahaha !!! The selection was beautiful and again the staff AMAZING! thanks so much sending love from NYC ! One&Only Resorts strive to offer “unique experiences that guests were looking for, but didn’t know they were looking for.” Indeed. I knew this stay was going to be special the moment my designated host presented me with a notebook imprinted with a single word and definition: “Ubuntu. I am because we are.” I don’t speak Zulu nor presume to understand this philosophy after a few days but I am intrigued. It seems to turn the foundations of centuries of western thought defining individualism on its head. Instead of Descartes, “Cogito, ergo sum,” it’s “I exist as a person through other people.” Mind blowing! And yet ubuntu suffuses the One&Only Cape Town experience, manifesting in exceptional personalization, caring, generosity of spirit, respect, teamwork and service with alacrity. The hotel promises rooms and suites that are “the largest in the city.” I believe them. Perhaps I was confused with a VIP, but I received an unexpected upgrade. I did receive a puzzling note from the Guest Experience Manager welcoming me as “a guest of ******* Incorporated” (I have no affiliation with ******* and don’t believe I have ever even used *******… and I certainly didn’t stay as their guest). Regardless of the reason, my one-bedroom Island Grand Suite was enormous. The hotel website indicates a size of 1948 sq ft. but it seemed even larger to me. Spotless, stylish bedroom, bathroom with freestanding soaking tub and dual sinks on opposing walls, walk-in closet, built-in dresser, powder room, living room with fireplace, dining for six indoors and four outdoors, pantry and full kitchen with a professional range and appliances, fully stocked complimentary (except for alcohol) minibar and refreshment center. It made me wish I had some friends in Cape Town to invite over. The suite was not only larger than my first apartment, it was larger (and much more opulently appointed) than my first house. If, like Winston Churchill, you’re a bath enthusiast, there’s no need to choose among bath foam, salts or oil – you have your choice of all three. One fun quirk was that the taps in the bathroom had the cold on the left and hot on the right. In the hall powder room this was reversed with hot on the right and cold on the left. I don’t know if this is a South African tradition or just a technique to distinguish between the two facilities. Then there are the birds. This is not an issue for the Marina Rise main hotel rooms, but only the “Island Suites” surrounding “the largest free form infinity pool in the Southern Hemisphere.” At the far end of the pool there is a waterfall where various ducks, geese, seagulls and other waterfowl splash and preen their feathers. Most of the time this is creates a peaceful, bucolic scene. But then there are other times when the birds go full send Hitchcock in a Hobbesian war of all against all, battling each other with an ear-shattering cacophony of screeches, cries and general divebombing mayhem, all of which comes to a head in the hours immedia

I would firstly like to commemorate and congratulate you at an absolutely amazing, tranquil and just spectacular magical venue. Upon entering the spa, I was immediately teleported into a space of tranquility and bliss like vibes. My entire being leaped and bubbled with shear utter bliss. The goddess in me was doing triple cartwheels, being greeted by the friendly host Carmilita, with a huge smile and a warm welcome. Which immediately made me feel right at home and part of the family I was absolutely delighted with this.  It was the entrance that did it for me first impressions last, they say, right down to the ambiance and aroma including the chilled glass of water infused with cucumber and mint that tickled my senses and allowed my inner goddess to go yes and thank you. The host invited me on a tour of the facilities which I must acknowledge was like stepping into a magical universe. I do believe that when someone does something with passion it creates a ripple that allows one to experience the magic of the space and Carmilita was exceptional. Every single space I was taken into just took my breath away the only thing that I could vocalize was wow! Right down to the aroma in the air made all my senses burst into bliss, in all honesty my favorite nook in and around the spa I must admit was the hidden gem garden vibe surrounded with trees and soft seating. The changing rooms were inviting and welcoming and boasted a sense of luxury, comfort and relaxation again wow! But the grammy definitely goes to Kamo my therapist absoloodles she was phenomenal. I have never dosed off when a therapist massaged me but this magical being she was definitely the cherry on the cake. The manner and professionalism in which she welcomed me and carried herself was next level I can simply say. She was so tuned in that she knew exactly where to press and the exact amount of pressure the particular part of my body required and needed. I can say with confidence in no unambiguous terms The One & Only Spa is the one that stole my heart in every sense. Just what my inner goddess needed I thoroughly enjoyed every experience and every facility at the spa and resort right down to the floating pool that made me magically levitate 🙂. Isola just what the name translates Island of magic, where I had a mouth-watering lunch just tantalizing to my palette, I had the best Grilled Kingklip. To end I would like to say that what makes any establishment great is the people, especially when done with passion and precision when you have staff that is passionate about what they do it makes any establishment run like a well-oiled machine. I hope one day soon I get to enjoy the blissful experience at The One & Only until then thank you so much for just what I can say was truly a magical experience my visit to your spa definitely exceeded my expectations.
