Outstanding service and luxury. The owners personally received and welcomed us. It was the most comfortable stay and bed in the whole time we were in South Africa. The electric blanket on the bed was a welcome touch and they are set up with back-up power and do not have power cuts. Highly recommended stay in Somerset and surrounds.

Our second time staying at Blaauwheim and it was once again wonderful. The guest house offers a relaxing and secure place to recharge your batteries before going out and explore the many vineyards around. Having the certainty of 24hr Water and Electricity is a big comfort. The fantastic breakfast plate with plenty of fruits are an excellent way to start the day. Thank you for having us and looking forward to next time!

This Blaauwheim Guest House is beautiful and located in a quiet setting. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent. The guest house offers a memorable experience with its stunning location, spacious rooms, and delicious breakfast.

Lovely stay, the owners are attentive. The property is beautiful boasting a stunning garden in a beautiful and quiet neighbourhood in Somerset west. The guest house is well curated and ideally situated ( 10 mins from Stellenbosch). I would recommend the stay to anyone travelling to Cape Town.

Blaauwheim Guest House is a special 'GEM'. Home away from home with 5 star service reflecting its well deserved 5 star rating. It's run by a wonderful and caring couple (Blaauw) whom we simply adored from the very first day. We thoroughly enjoyed conversations with them as much as we did the hearty and delicious breakfast with the amazing designs of the fruit platters. As one tours the area, their local knowledge provided great insight. We highly recommend this special 'GEM', with its quality surroundings and service.

Although this is really an international destination guest house, we as locals were treated very well!!. The breakfast fruit platter is the signature dish but all other food was of exceptional quality and hand prepared. The fruit not only looked good but the taste was there as well. Jo-Anne and Johan were welcoming, informative and connected guests with one another irrespective of where they came from. It was a most enjoyable and peaceful stay knowing that attention to detail was the norm and that all needs would be taken care of if situations arose. Book early!!!!

From the moment we arrived we felt like family. They safely stored our luggage while we were on safari, made lunch reservations, ordered taxis, rescued us from dinner when no taxis or Uber were available, they kept us safe in spite of ourselves. The suites are spacious and well appointed. Full kitchen, full and half bath, sitting room and bedroom. Breakfast is cooked to order… go for the omelette! Fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, bakery fresh breads, fresh squeezed juice, coffee and a wide variety of teas. Laundry service is available with 1 day turn around. Relax. Enjoy.
