Location is perfect. The hotel is clean, beautiful, neat, and perfectly located. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. The views are amazing from both the room and the breakfast area. I don't know the gentleman's name, but he makes the BEST cappuccino in the island. He waited on us for breakfast and dinner every night. The front dest young lady was delightful, sweet, and helpful. After she took us to our room and showed us the view, she took off to bring us complimentary drinks, and I just sat on the bed and cried because I was overwhelmed with the amazing view and just felt so lucky to be there. Beautiful hotel and beautiful island.

This hotel is in a great location. Close to shopping and restaurants yet far enough to feel private and have amazing views. I had a balcony room that had a view of the pool and the sea which was ideal. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. They even helped my ship some boxes home. I also had a lot of dirty laundry when I got there and they had it washed and dried within a few hours. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I have had in Italy and also had great views. The restaurant served lunch and dinner which I enjoyed both. The only negative would be that it needs some updating and repair but i would not let thay stop me from staying there again.

Don’t be fooled by the pictures on the various booking sites. went there on honeymoon and it seemed like a good deal compared to some other properties in Capri, we didn’t end up staying a single night. If the men working at the front desk don’t rub you the wrong way immediately, just wait until you go to your room. Rooms don’t appear to have been updated since 1997, leaks in bathroom (water runs down wall after flushing), cracked toilet, exposed wiring from the dangling light fixture on ceiling, stained comforter, shower curtain resting at bottom of the bathtub/shower stained yellow. We checked out 2 hours after checking in and when I discussed the laundry list of issues with the 2 gentleman up front they requested I not leave any negative reviews online and I told them I wouldn’t if they refunded me. They agreed to this , and then never refunded and lied to *******/Amex about offering a refund stating they don’t offer refunds (so here we are) If you know it going in then so be it. But you’re getting a 1 or 2 star experience purely based on the hotel being in a good location with a nice view, other than that you’ll be disappointed if you’re expecting good value.

Perfetto! Beautiful hotel with lovely service and fantastic food! Friendly environment with a beautiful breakfast and dinner! Gorgeous pool overlooking the Amalfi coast. The family that owns the hotel is so kind and personable, this is our second stay at Hotel La Vega within the past 6 months and we will be back! La Vega is family!

Avoid this hotel at all cost. We booked them for our 9-nights holiday in Capri, based on their good reviews and nice pictures on ***********, and we left in rush after the first night. Hotel was dirty, messy with cables and tools left lying around, the staff seemed inexperienced and lost and the included breakfast was worst we have ever had. It was supposed to be 4-star but I would give it no more than 1. They have refunded us full price though after we left, but we had to face further costs because of their incompetence. Firstly, finding new hotel on small island like Capri isn’t easy. We had to pay more than we would have paid if booked in advance. Then moving the luggage around the island costs money too, which we had to pay, Not to mention a day of holiday lost. We asked for a compensation towards the extra costs we had to face, but they said the full refund it’s the maximum the can pay us. We believe this is not fair, so just warning anyone who is going to book the La Vega: Think twice! Be ready to pay extra cost which you will have to cover yourself - and it’s not cheap because it’s Capri.

We had a great time in this hotel.It’s at a great location,just on the edge of Capri town.The view from the room was spectacular.We had a lovely lunch .There was a nice feeling that you were in a family owned hotel.They organised a great boat trip for us .Yes there are bees but they light coffee granules on your table and that keeps them away,that’s the price you pay to be surrounded by beautiful flowers.I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone thinking of going.When you arrive off the boat either get a taxi or the funicular and it’s about a ten minute walk after that.

Capri was stop #2 on our honeymoon in Italy, and the staff at Hotel Vega was beyond exceptional. From the moment we booked, communication was terrific, and my mind was at ease with our choice. Antonio at the front desk was welcoming and informative. He helped us with our daily plans, transportation and provided WONDERFUL dining options off-property, although the meals we enjoyed on the property were fantastico!! Antonio (a different one), who I believe was the manager for the wait staff, made sure our meals and drinks were on point and always greeted us with a warm smile and boisterous "Buongiorno!" Salvador had our morning cappuccinos ready and waiting for us, along with a perfect breakfast to start the day. There was another young girl on staff who I would be remiss not to mention, but sadly I missed her name. (Annaccelo, I think, but apologies if I am mistaken.) Again, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We have not stopped talking about this perfect little oasis we found on Capri to our friends, family, and even people we met along the way, and we cannot wait to return. Thank you for everything!!
