Hotel Lido Degli Spagnoli Wellness & Spa

I have stayed here always when I visit Sardinia. It is a great hotel located right next to the beach and has a spa and pool and a very friendly staff who go out of their way to help. For me there is no better place to stay. you can access many sightseeing places from here. I would recommend this hotel highly to anyone who wants to experience the beautiful place that Portoscuso is!

We stayed for one night while we were on a cycling tour of the area. The pool area is lovely with great views out to sea and of San Pietro island. We found the hotel to be a little lacking in atmosphere. Our room was large but furnished with very old fashioned furniture and fabrics. The bed was not very comfortable. The restaurant was closed (no reason given), so a 20 minute trek into town for dinner. The walk back along the coastal path was interesting as there was no lights in places. Breakfast was good, a good selection of yoghurts, fruits, cooked, pastries. Some fruit salad would have been nice rather than whole fruit.

We stayed a week at Hotel Lido degli Spagnoli and everything was fantastic. The staff was extremely professional and friendly and attentive to our needs. Dario and Martina in the bar/restaurant were just incredible and Anna in the spa was excellent. Our large room faced the sea with an ample balcony and comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet is extensive…eggs, bacon, toast, local pastries, yogurt, tea, coffee, juices…and there is lunch service to the pool, and drink service to the pool all day. The desk clerks responded to all of our requests promptly. The pool area is beautiful and overlooks the sea, and the sandy public beach is about a 100m walk down the street and is in a lovely protected cove. There is a walking path close to the hotel for bikes and pedestrians that leads to a hilltop with some ruins. The hotel grounds are well kept with lots of grass areas for children and pets to run. September 1-8 was not crowded at all anywhere. We were able to book last minute boat tours and horseback riding and the weather was still perfect. The local communities are filled with delicious food and friendly people. Highly recommend!! We WILL come back! Ten out of ten for sure.

The hotel is in a great location. There is a huge pool which never seems to be busy, sun beds which look out across the sea towards the island of San Pietro and clean, comfortable rooms, many of which have great views of the coastline. The lovely beach (Spiaggia di Portopaglietto) is less than 5 minutes walk away and it is only a 25 minute walk to get into the town centre mostly along a coast path. Breakfast was good with plenty of different items available, although things did get a bit 'samey' after 10 days at the hotel. One improvement since our last visit is that guests can now ask for a teapot at breakfast as the cups are too small for a tea bag. The staff were very friendly and accommodating particularly those in reception. We did however have one issue, the hotel has centrally controlled air-conditioning and it seems that because we were there in the second half of September (15th-25th) the hotel seemed to think switching this off in the evening and at night was okay. We had to repeatedly ask for the air-conditioning in our room to be turned on, when we found the temperature in the early hours getting up to more than 28C. This made our stay more stressful than it should have been as we didn't like to keep asking, but we found it necessary as we would return to the hotel after dinner to find the room at 27C knowing it would then get hotter later. On our last couple of days the message seemed to get through and the aircon was left on, but it took a long while. The annoying part of this was that if it did get too cool it was possible to make the aircon cut off in the room, but it was not possible to make it come on when it was turned off centrally. This was a great shame as it somewhat spoiled what was otherwise a good stay.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for one night while on a cycling tour of the area, it was a great choice! We arrived late in the day very tired but the reception staff helped us find a suitable place to lock up the bikes and helped us to our large clean room with great views of the sea! Once showered we went to the pool for a quick swim, it was nearly empty (mid September). For dinner we walk along the coastal road into town for dinner and found a great little place in the middle. Breakfast was very varied with easily enough to go around. I would recommend this hotel easily for a holiday in the area.

Tutto perfetto, il personale , dalla reception a tutti gli altri , ti fa sentire come a casa tua . Le camere sono ampie e pulitissime . La piscina è in mezzo ad un bellissimo prato verde tra palme nane e macchia mediterranea. Altro top e’ il parcheggio interno dell’hotel gratis per tutti i clienti . Poi se il cielo è bello limpido il tramonto è uno spettacolo della natura , nonché con la luna piena di può vedere lo yakamoz , la luna che si specchia in mare . Io e mio marito e’ la terza volta che soggiorniamo qui e senz’altro ci torneremo .

Se dovessi cercare un difetto non lo troverei. Viaggiamo parecchio ed è difficile restare soddisfatti a 360 gradi, invece stavolta è successo. La struttura è bellissima, il personale è accogliente, la colazione squisita, prato verde pulito e curato e piscina impeccabile. Abbiamo deciso di pranzare all’aperto nel cortile a bordo piscina e siamo rimasti stupiti dalle gustosissime insalate che abbiamo scelto e mangiato a prezzi onestissimi. Il nostro bimbo di 9 mesi felicissimo è stato in piscina e si è goduto il relax con noi. Tutto perfetto 🥰

Perfetto da tutti i punti di vista, affacciandosi dal balcone della camera si gode di una vista spettacolare dell'isola Piana e di Carloforte la caletta di Portopaglietto con la sua spiaggia e le colorate casette del paese sino alla torre spagnola seicentesca, gli scogli di Capo Altano con la passeggiata panoramica parte del camino di Santa Barbara, il fruscio delle onde che si rinfrangono sugli scogli sottostanti; un ambiente elegante e sobrio con un ampia sala per la colazione a buffet che si affaccia sulla ampia piscina e sul mare; personale sempre molto gentile e attento, biciclette a noleggio.

Ottimo hotel situato proprio vicinissimo al mare . La struttura ha tutte le comodità richieste ad un 4 stelle, compresa piscina e spa . Il personale è molto gentile e competente soprattutto i ragazzi alla reception. È la seconda volta che soggiorno al Lido degli spagnoli e penso di tornarci
