カールスバッド バイ ザ シー ホテル(Carlsbad by the Sea Hotel)

I would not stay here again. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the room itself was lacking. Outdated bathroom with a bathtub that had nothing to keep you from skipping to the bathroom tile that just as slippery even with the floor towel. The room was big and clean with a nice bed but the lugging was awful. There were 2 side tanks lamps, 1 floor lamp, and a desk lamp(didn't work). Even with the 3 that worked out was still very dimly lit. The pipes in the wall sounded like they were going to bust when a another room would turn on their water. It was so loud. When I booked this room it said it was a 3 star hotel, more of a 2. Without the staff a 1. There not being an elevator to the second floor was tough. Then there were 2 sounds at night. One sounded like something cheering on wood above me, and the other was something tapping on the wall. There was an extra charge when I checked in that wasn't on the site when I booked it. This could be the hotel or this dues fault, bit sure. My rating didn't really reflect the start because of the categories.

Awesome place to stay, definitely coming back if we are in town.

Very friendly staff, nice looking property and comfortable room. Only problem was the air condition sounded like it was exploding every couple hours…loud enough to be frightening and wake us up throughout the night.

All the staff here were incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. I also really enjoyed how accessible everything was without a car. There was a great food lab type area in the windmill with a great variety of many cultures. If you wanted to do any shopping there was a great outdoor outlet just across the street. The venue and dinning hall itself was great as well. Great place to stay even if you aren't attending a specific even there.

Room 256, the AC didn't work, room was warm at night. Also the fan in the bathroom squealed loudly. Room keys kept turning themselves off and required a visit to the lobby to reset. Staff was very hospitable.

Place was clean with attentive and friendly staff, some things I noticed but weren’t deal breakers were: the initial smell of the room when you first entered. It had a musty smell, given full sized beds when we reserved 2 queens, water pool was not heated to 85 degrees as advertised and there weren’t any pool towels in the area. Overall, the place was clean enough, staff were nice and attentive, and pool area was good. We’d stay there again next time we’re in town.

The heat/air con. was not working ams the maintenance man was away on an emergency. Nobody ever contacted me again about it. It wasn too warm during the day and chilly at night and in the morning especially after showering. It made for some.cold mornings after my shower. I didn't even want to use the jacuzzi tub bexause I was worried I would be too cold. The 3rd night someomen checked in the room right above me ans decided to bang their luggage around for 20 minutes before they decided to shower at 2:30 am and were not quiet about it. Why would you check someome in directly above another occupied room at 12:30am. I was awake for 3.5.hours before finally getting to sleep and having to get up at 6am. The whole experience was horrible and I FEEL I DESERVE AT LEAST ONE NIGHT REFUNDED! I should get the entire stay refunded but I might be ok with one night refunded. It was truly worse than a Motel 6!!

I stay here every time I visit GIA. Wonderful environment to study and convenient to campus. Staff is wonderful!

We were given a room upstairs with another couple we asked for rooms downstairs our other family heat did not work and the beds with smaller than we thought.No elevator so packing our luggage was a task as we are alot Older now.Ice machine were a treasure hunt.We were all moved to two rooms downstairs only to find out the controller for one of the rooms did not work and the door was a struggle to close
