The La Playa Hotel is THE place to stay in Carmel! The staff is friendly, the convenience to downtown is ideal, the history and fine touches around the hotel are amazing, and the cookies are delicious! Thank you for making are stay so memorable - we hope to be back soon!

This is an excellent hotel a couple of blocks from the ocean Service was top notch - from check in to check out. We stayed in a room with ocean view - and left the window open a bit to keep the sound of the ocean coming in. The breakfast spread was abundant. After breakfast, we went for a walk on the beach - which in part runs alongside and below the Pebble Beach golf course. Our stay was one day.

The service was amazing! They had a jazz band at the bar. An amazing breakfast. The ocean view was breathtaking and they even have evening homemade chocolate chip cookies. Will stay again. Definitely recommend.

The breakfast, thee ambiance and the overall experience was very good. It is pet friendly. Everything is very good. The only drwaback was that the room was very small. Not too much of an issues since we spent very little time in the room.

La Playa is a beautiful property in a beautiful town. Close to the shops but also quiet and near the beach. Staff is very friendly.

My wife and I celebrated our 21 years of marriage here .. it’s definitely a upscale facility and was treated by staff with great hospitality. Would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Our experience was substantially diminished due to the power outage that occurred during the majority of our stay due to the severe storms. I know it was not the fault of the hotel but I would have expected an offer to discount our stay due to the inconvenience. Also the TV never worked and I was put on hold for a long time and finally hung up without resolution. On a positive note, Michael the person who greeted us on arrival, made our dinner reservations and drove us and returned us to the hotel is a La Playa treasure!!!
