Super location Very helpful reception staff Dreadful breakfast - staff and food Manageress was unfriendly, brusque and officious. The cooked breakfast was inedible - rubbery scrambled eggs, crisp fried egg - none of it warm, in fact the baked beans were straight out of the tin - unheated!

This is the third time that we have stayed in the Parador of Carmona. We love the paradors in Spain but the Parador of Carmona is one of our favourite ones. Carmona is a beautiful town to find refuge in after the frantic vibe of Seville and the Parador here is in a beautiful position with views over the surrounding landscape that we will always want to come back. The building itself with its wonderful courtyard and dining room is spectacular too. Food is good and there is a decent selection of regional dishes. If I would have a slight criticism it is that the mattresses are very hard and not that comfortable and although that seems to be the norm in Spain I think that a hotel like this may be should have better beds. But this is a minor point. What really stands out is the people working here who are without exception enormously helpful, kind and attentive. A ten out of ten for the staff!

Lots of positives : Location and Views Negative : Walls are very thin between rooms so a good night’s sleep was difficult If your neighbour has TV on you will hear it ! If people are talking you will hear that too ! In fairness i asked reception to ask our neighbours to turn their TV down which they did which helped us We didn’t have the breakfast The parking is free and it’s location with views across the landscape is breathtaking Sunrise is spectacular across the valley If you like Roman History visit the Necropolis of Carmona which is an incredible Roman graveyard on the outskirts of town Free and hugely interesting

A very nice hotel, with a spectacular view of the surrounding area. We booked one of the top rooms, and other than having two beds pushed together, it was well furnished and comfortable. The terrace had a stunning view to the south. All of the staff, with one exception, was pleasant and accommodating. The restaurant was fine for dinner, although there is a lovely, quiet restaurant steps away from this hotel. The breakfast buffet was average, and we chose not to eat breakfast there as the charge was €20.00 per person per day. Way overpriced! If you arrive by car, getting around is easy. However, if you arrive by bus, you are dropped off a good 20 min. uphill hike on stone cobbles. Not the greatest for dragging a suitcase. We were told that there are only 3 taxis in town, and we had to book in advance to get one to return us to the bus.

The building was beautiful and the room had a fantastic view. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. The food was excellent, Carmona is a beautiful town and staying in the parador is a great way to see it.

The hotel is a converted fortress on a hilltop which has been beautifully converted into a comfortable hotel. The town of Carmona is delightful with a lovely convent that can be visited and is close to the Necropolis Romana
