ル ディアナ ホテル アンド スパ ニュクス(Le Diana Hotel and Spa Nuxe)

We had a terrible first impression of this hotel as the woman on the front desk was so unhelpful, we ended up complaining to management about her before we even arrived in our room. But actually, apart from her we ended up having a fantastic stay, the Spa was brilliant and the views are incredible. Carnac ended up being our favourite spot in Brittany.

We chose to end our stay in carnac with a treat dinner in the beutiful l'eskell having passed it in the week. We were a little nervous from some reviews and taking teens to a 4 star fine dining experience. We shouldn't have worried at all. The staff were all lovely, super helpful and spoke english though we did our best with our french. The sommelier was particularly nice and generous with his time for the kids as well as the gorgeous wines (wish i'd taken pics!), he even jogged out of restaurant to help with pictures. We'd go back again!!

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We had lunch on the terrace one day and waited over 30 minutes for a bottle of wine to arrive and a further 40 minutes for the food to arrive. Other guests arriving 30 minutes after us in the restaurant were receiving food and drinks very soon after sitting down. We checked on the order three times only to find it sitting on the bar. The waiter was trying his best, but he was solely responsible for taking orders, serving drinks, cooking the food and clearing up for the entire terrace. When the food finally arrived, over an hour after ordering, the vegetable sharing platter (at €22) which was meant to be a selection of vegetables of the season contained a few dried out carrots, one prune, two 5mm slices of melon and a handful of vegetable crisps. We also ordered 2 club sandwiches and 6 oysters, the sandwiches were tiny and dry and only 5 oysters were served. We tried to raise the problem with the staff on several occasions, but our complaint was dismissed. The answer from the staff behind reception was “you ate the food so you must pay”. We also showed the staff a photo of the food we had left uneaten to prove we had not eaten it all, but this was dismissed. We requested to speak to the hotel manager on 3 occasions but never received contact. For a 4 star hotel, where we were paying over €500 a night for a room, this is not the customer service you would expect. The receptionists attitude was unprofessional and lacking in empathy. We checked out feeling very disappointed and completely let down by the staffs attitude and lack of response to our unhappiness with the meal. Never have we been to a place where when you raise dissatisfaction with a meal are you still forced to pay the full amount for it!!

We recently returned from a 3 day very enjoyable break. Pros:- Very well presented hotel and room. Lovely warm pool Restaurant 1st class. We tried the tasting menu with wine that we were recommended by the chef. Food was amazing & chef was very knowledgeable Breakfast was lovely and extensive Parking in a secure car park at 10€ per night for peace of mind Lovely location. Beautiful views and close to town. Above all really lovely staff who couldn't be more helpful. Cons:- We had to leave! Well done Le Diane, we will return

We had a wonderful second stay at this beautiful laid-back hotel. We felt very welcome. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast with lots of choice. Our room was amazing with wonderful views from 3 windows. Very light and bright, nicely decorated with lots of space. The balcony was great for the first sunbath of the year. Extra compliments for the cleaning lady: the room was thouroughly cleaned and taken care for every day! Definitely recommand this hotel!

very nice hotel right on the ocean

We had a lovely week in Le Diana Hotel which is a very well ran and welcoming Hotel. The staff all make you feel valued and nothing is too much trouble, even when we tried our bad french on them. The bedroom was clean and functional and had everything we needed.

If you dont want to be robbed dont ho. There is not one ounce of holiday spirit ot care in this hotel. It just wanted our money. £641 euros for 2 nights bed car parking and half a inedi le dinner. The view however is breathtaking. Such a wonderful opportunity lost

Two of our three night stay, we had to listen to loud thumping music during the night and until 2am from a nearby venue immediately below our room. We had no option but to close the door, use the air conditioning, unable to enjoy the sound of the sea and still heard the music. Reported to reception after the second night, not expecting a repeat and told I could have let them known during the night and they could call the police. Emailed the hotel following our stay, hotel unwilling to accept any responsibility and suggested I write to the Town Hall! (not them) Hotel admitted they were aware of the ongoing problem and said it was out of their control yet we were not informed during the booking process and given the opportunity to book a quieter room. Breakfast disappointing every morning, although they say breakast until 10.30am, very little left 10am and looks unappetizing. Poor customer care experience, not offered any gesture of goodwill, would not return and would not recommend.
