Excellent place all round!

Excellent location and staff Breakfast was always delicious, and the coffee is amazing. Staff went out of their way to help us out, and Leo and Alba gave great advice on where to go and what to do. You can order tours of the Rosario Islands through the hotel. I got used to the cold water showers quickly.

Lovely little hotel. The staff were excellent, and the gentleman that seems to run everything was exceptionally friendly. Especially with me learning Spanish, he took the time to talk and explain things slowly. Would 100% stay here again! Love from England!

This hotel was absolutely perfect for our stay in Cartagena. It’s close to downtown, (where many meeting points for tours are) but it’s far enough away from the craziness so you can sleep at night. Google maps would tell us that the walk to downtown was 15-20 minutes, but it was more like a 10-15 minute walk to many places, and it felt like only 5 because there’s always so much to see on the streets of Getsemaní. The only noises at night were from cars driving by playing loud music, but once you turn your AC up, it’s loud enough that you can’t hear anything, which was perfect! The hotel is super cute: plants everywhere, very clean, and the rooms are adorable. The staff is really what makes this place a must- stay though. Leo, Eimy, Alba, and literally everyone else greeted us with smiles, helped us to call cabs, (when we were running late to a lunch reservation that was a little farther away, and to the airport) gave us good directions to things we wanted to do, they were very accommodating with an early check in, and they stored our luggage safely for us after we checked out so we could enjoy our last few hours in the city without dragging our luggage around. The free breakfast was amazing. They also have bottles of water and gatorade for sale, which was very convenient to grab a few before we left for the day’s activities. The only downside to this hotel was the lack of hot water. Cartagena is hot enough to where you definitely don’t need a hot shower, but it would have been nice to get the water a little warmer on the days where we ended up showering later at night. Overall, this really wasn’t a big deal for us, it mostly felt nice to be a little cold because the city is so hot- but definitely something to be aware of. Most older buildings in Cartagena don’t have hot water, so if this is a problem for you, you’ll need to stay in a newer building. Overall, we would highly recommend Patio de Getsemaní!

The hotel is in a good location in Getsemani, just a stone's throw away from the life and buzz but on a slightly quieter street so we were able to sleep at night. The staff were kind and friendly and the breakfast each morning was great. But the room was extremely small and there was barely any space to walk after putting two single beds in. There was no table or wardrobe, just a white wire shelf to place our things. The water pressure was terribly low so it was hard to take a good shower (we did not mind that there was no hot water). Also the cleaning was substandard - our beds would be made daily but the floor remained dirty.

The staff was the highlight of the stay! For a budget hotel, this place was amazing and had everything we needed for 7 days. It was close to everything, breakfast included, good AC and the warmest staff. They made you feel like home!

Location and Love We first booked this hotel because of the location. Everything is walkable, but not in the middle of the action so it's quiet. The best part was the owners and staff. Everyone is friendly but the owners went above and beyond when they bought me a birthday cake and sang happy birthday and sat with us. There is fresh breakfast everyday, that was delicious. There's a really nice patio upstairs with a great view. This is a sweet little hotel, you won't be disappointed.

The staff were very kind and attentive. Breakfast was made individually every day and felt very local. The location is great since it’s not right in the middle of everything but it’s definitely walking distance.
