This is a great property. The building is undergoing renovations with many of the expected issues. However, the rooms are lovely, well-appointed and have the best bathroom mirrors ever! The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is plentiful and free, and I noticed there is even space for several large trucks adjacent to the hotel. Food spots are reasonably plentiful, and Canadian Tire is just south. Nice place!

Check in was good, property is getting old and tired, major renovations should take place as soon as possible. Great location and plenty of parking.

Room keys didnt work, elevator key card for 3rd floor didn't work. Hut tub was deep, no jets. Pool area needs work. Room we stayed in was renovated, looked more modern then the hotel it's self.

We were placed on the third floor which required the keycard to access but our keycards and even staff keycards could not operate it so we had to use the stairs. When we checked out a staff member noted this was a known issue and when questioned why we were not placed on a different floor if that was the case our concern was rudely dismissed. Towels in the room were stained, the hotel had no hot water and staff again dismissed this like it was no concern. Id like to see them try to take a cold shower in their new tiny bathtubs where if you are 6' tall your head nearly touches the ceiling. This is after nearly tripping over the toilet trying to get into the tiny washroom where a supposedly brand new door cant even close and the new handle was already falling off. The pool area is dark, dirty and dated with tiles lifting and a tripping hazard. The hot tub jets also didnt work and again staff could care less. The only good thing about this place was the bed was comfortable.

Although the location was convenient and the staff provided me with an "upgrade to newly renovated" room, I would not recommend staying here. My room had old single pane windows with a hornets nest outside. Door was missing half of the security lock, the exterior door nearest my room didn't shut let alone lock! The hot tub was the lamest hot tub I've ever seen. Nice size and hot but jets barely worked.

The property is under renovations, so that is the reason I can't give a higher review on cleanliness. Staff was awesome! Pool was great

Sheryl at front desk was super nice... and i would give them an overall 5 stars if it wasn't from facet leaking drops (waste of water) and the full thick carpetwater)

We had a great stay at Sandman. We were within walking distance to restaurants. We went on a couple of little hikes and to the hot springs.

We have stayed here multiple times prior and have no complaints on that. This time the hotel rugs were very dirty, the deadbolt mechanism on our door was broken, the pool was closed for maintenance and no option for discount was available. They did however give us free continental breakfast which apparently was not included in our reservation for some reason. Would perhaps choose a different hotel next time through town. Staff mentioned a hockey tournament in town ending the day we checked in and teams making a mess of the place. Understandable but a discount for reduced cleanliness and amenities would have been appreciated.
