ティエラチロエ(Tierra Chiloe)

I had read about Tierra Chiloe in a Conde Nast Article making the affirmation that it must be one of the coolest hotels in Chile. After going i really understood why!, Chiloe is an off the beaten track destination known mostly by chileans and birdwatchers, hopefully this will change since it is an amazing little island full of nature, history and local culture. This hotel is the perfect base to explore this unique island and i loved the architecture / decoration both things Tierra stands out for, its set on a peninsula overlooking a vast wetland coast a super romantic chill setting for a couple getaway and its hands down a foodie paradise, we were lucky to be able to visit the hotels orchard with the Chef who explained the diversity and abundance of local ingredients and for dinner one of the nights they did a Curanto a typical preparation from Chiloe with musicians outside in the hotels garden. Rooms are super cozy and have amazing views, the living room and dining room areas are spacious and you can really appreciate how well designed this hotel is and the detailed woodwork inspired by the typical island constructions. The excursions are varied and they even have a lovely boat for visiting different islands, do kayak and stand up paddle, there are e-bikes and horse riding. I saw austral dolphins right by the hotels dock while doing SUP!, and the day we went out on the boat after arriving from visitina a Unesco Church they had set up a delicious lunch on board. We also decided to go all out on this trip and we booked the hydroplane flight which was perfect to see the island of Chiloe from a different perspective and it arrived to pick us up right at the hotels dock!. Finally i need to share that when you come back from your activities the Spa is really out of this world with a very chic design, an indoor and outdoor pool, saunas, wonderful massages and the view from the infinity pool overlooking the wetlands is fantastic. Every day in the evening one of the waiters would appear while we were enjoying some reading and the views in the lobby area and offer a different appetizer with the cocktail of the day, once you tried them it was impossible to refuse the urge to see what the bartender and chef had created. I must also point out that i was really impressed by the kindness of the staff and the overall experience!. I absolutely recommend this hotel and would go back, it was a perfect relaxing romantic getaway and their signature gastronomy really surprised me and exceeded all of my expectations. We stayed for four night, including over the New Year and to say this hotel is exceptional is an understatement. The staff are some of the best we have come across, nothing is to difficult. Our drivers and guides set the standard as far as we are concerned. They are knowledgeable, pleasant and a joy to be with. They make exploring of this magical island in northern Patagonia a real treat. Our room had amazing view, as all do. They are well appointed and just the place to crash after a day exploring. The meals were all great, especially the traditional food produced in a traditional oven on one night. Explore, discover, and indulge, that should be their motto.

A wonderful hotel with some great rooms. Staff really helpful. The views are amazing. Must visit but try to fly in to Castro for a short transfer around 30 minutes. Food very good. The hotel organises tours and we particularly enjoyed the west coast of the Pacific. Wonderful views including some penguins in the distance.

My family loved staying at Tierra Chiloé! We stayed for 4 nights and it was so much fun. Our favorite excursion was a boat ride to a small island, seeing a church and walking around the island, and then kayaking / stand up paddle boarding to another nearby island. The boat was so beautiful and comfortable, too! The staff was so lovely and helpful with anything we needed. They really go the extra mile to make your stay amazing. The pools and sauna were so nice! It was very beautiful and relaxing, but with fun and adventurous excursions during the day. I would highly recommend coming to Chiloé and staying here!

From the airport to the hotel, everything was simply perfect. The meals were varied and excellent. The hotel itself is of rare beauty, wonderfully camouflaged in nature, with very interesting architecture, we were overwhelmed. The various excursions on offer are perfectly organized and offer a huge range of choices. The guides are experienced and very attentive.

Our month long vacation included Antarctica and Patagonia along with Chiloe. While all of our experiences were excellent, Tierra Chiloe was by far the most exquisite stay. We have never felt so personally cared for in all of our travels as in our experience at Tierra. We had two hikes which were tailored to my wife's and my abilities by our guide Filipe. They were beautiful and we had a fabulous time. Our driver Carlos was the best. Safe, helpful and always with a smile! I could go on and on about how everyone was so nice and always there if we needed anything, but I would have to call out everyone who worked there. A special thanks though goes to Edguardo, Maria Jose, Paulina, Francisco, Filipe and our favorite driver Carlos! A 5 rating just isn't enough. Can I say 5+?

A beautiful small boutique hotel in rural Chiloe, Chile. Tierra Chiloe offers guided tours. During our 4 days, we did a difficult hike during which it rained, the wind gusted, and the mud clung. We also did a muddy mountain bike ride. We enjoyed both experiences. We also did a tour that included visiting 3 UNESCO churches in three towns and a visit to the organic farm owned and operated by an amazing woman. The rooms have spectacular views. The food is excellent. It was wonderfully quiet and relaxing. Loved it.

Tierra Chiloe is a wonderful place to vacation in the Chiloe area. The facility is gorgeous, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the excursions are well planned and great fun. We loved sitting in the living room at the end of a busy day enjoying a drink and watching the sunset. Plus the appetizers they served us were amazing. All the meals were fresh, healthy and very tasty. The boat ride excursion was great fun and the fresh oysters we picked up were amazing. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
