On arrival the property owner was unreachable. I had to wait outside the entrance for 30 minutes before he finally responded to tell me the code to enter. There were strange awkward messages from both the owner and his wife; they clearly were not communicating with each other about anything. Furthermore, This property was so incredibly unprofessional I called the police to get assistance to retrieve my things when I switched accommodations because the owner illegally entered my room at 8:30 pm, unannounced, to desperately search for his city tax (supposed to be collected at the end of your stay and wanted more than the stated amount on *******). After the owner arrived & finally opened the door he stood in front of it aggressively motioning for me to go inside while blocking the entrance so I had to step in sideways to get through the door way. Then he stood outside and asked if I would open the door or if he could open the door. He forced me to open the door and he repeatedly told me, ‘this is my wife,’ as if that was relevant to the issues. The insistence on telling me this multiple times made me think that he’s a terrible person who uses his wife as a human shield to prove he is a good person. There was zero respect for my privacy or personal control over the room as my own space. This was the most uncomfortable situation I have ever been in on vacation. This property should not even be on *******. Words cannot describe how terrible this experience was.
