Omg this place was wonderful . The rooms were decorated very cute, beds were firm, room clean, air conditioner kept room just right. Food at the adjacent Shipwreck was delicious and Eric,the owner, worked in every position to keep the place running smoothly and knew his business well. He was very friendly as was the girls that worked in the little restaurant. I would defiantly recommend this place. Thank you so much for a great experience. ❤️🦋

I liked the atmosphere of this place very much. My room “the American suite” was personal, cozy and home-like. Everything was very clean and I was very comfortable in the room - very spacious and well organized. It was close to the town yet county-feel. Eric (the host) was a very kind man and his restaurant attached to this Inn provided delicious food. I would like to come again with my family. God bless!

Our family of 4 stayed at Sweetgrass. The location is great, close to all our favorite attractions, and the place is quiet and comfortable. It’s across the highway from Reptile Gardens, which is neat, even when you don’t love reptiles. It’s near Bear Country, which is fun. There’s a new Buffalo shooting rollercoaster that’s super fun, The food is amazing with a restaurant on site that is excellent. They do gluten free well.

We checked in at the Shipwreck restaurant and bar which is located adjacent to the B&B. Erich (owner & innkeeper) showed us to our room for the next 4 nights. Our room was the Relax room on the upper floor of the home. It was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. There was a large living area with tv, table & chairs, dresser, small makeup table, bed and nightstand. The bathroom was large with a bathtub/shower. There also was a large closet area which worked out well for us to leave most of our belongings packed and just hang things that needed to be. Erich and Nancy own the Shipwreck and the B&B, lovely couple and very friendly and helpful. Our breakfasts were at the Shipwreck each morning. We could order what we wanted from the menu. There were several cooks some better than others, but all in all the breakfasts were very good. The Sweetgrass is in a great location, just outside of Rapid City to the southwest. We had easy access to all the sights we planned to see; all within an hour or less drive. We would highly recommend the Sweetgrass for quiet simple accommodations. If you need swimming pool, fitness center, or other amenities, then you may want to stay in the city.

Stayed in the Lodge on the second floor, a large bedroom with a large bath with storage. Spotless and comfortable. Very quiet setting. Owners understand travelers and concept of hospitality. Breakfast ordered at Shipwreck off menu (welcome change from chain hotel breakfast). 10% off Shipwreck for lunch or dinner (a path away from B&B). Shipwreck is a kind of bar/bistro restaurant with a lot of local customers. The Lodge has an A-frame so don’t bump your head.

Very peaceful and spacious. Lovely view outside our door. Host could not have been kinder. Great peaceful setting.Whirlpool hot tub was terrific. Room spotlessly clean and decorated very tastefully

We flew in to Rapid City for a long weekend 7/1-7/4/2023. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Erich was great. Our room was the Lodge loft on the 2nd floor. The room is nice and the bathroom is huge. Great shower and water pressure. Breakfast omlettes were incredible. Close to everything we wanted to do. Would stay again for certain.

We loved everything about Sweetgrass B&B! Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant on the property and the walleye finger dinner is fantastic!! For breakfast you can pick anything off the menu and there is no charge. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast!!!

I had a lovely three night stay at the Sweetgrass Inn Bed & Breakfast and was so pleased with my choice! The Inn is just south of Rapid City, so well located for Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse and the Badlands touring or for business in Rapid City as it's only 10 minutes away. The owners are so welcoming and helpful with recommendations for the area. I stayed in the Wine room, which was spacious and impeccably clean. There are lovely chairs to sit outside as well as porch open to everyone. The Common Room has a full size fridge, so I was able to buy groceries and pack up lunches to take with me on my adventures. I ate two dinners and three breakfasts at the adjacent restaurant, Shipwrecks. The food was freshly prepared and delicious and the staff (including the owners who are somehow always around) were attentive and friendly. I highly recommend the Sweetgrass Inn as a far preferable option over generic hotels in the area. You won't be disappointed!
