My friend and I visited here this afternoon as we met up to have lunch. The Saddle was recommended to us by a friend. The young lady behind the bar was so polite and friendly. I had belly pork and wow. Compliments to the chef. Amazing presentation spot on. Would definitely recommend and will be back soon.

We wish we could return to the Saddle Inn every night and wake up to an amazing breakfast every day! We received such a lovely welcome on arrival and continued throughout our stay. We stayed extra nights and truly sampled the full experience of fun rock nights and quiet relaxing nights. We dined in the lounge area 3 nights running, The locally sourced food was cooked to perfection and the Sunday roast was simply the best. Breakfast was exceptional for an Inn. The Grade II listed building makes the bedrooms fun and quirky especially as they are rock band themed. The toiletries and towels were lovely. We cannot fault our stay, all the staff were so friendly, professional and helpful. The manager was exceptionally key to the perfect running of the bar and room check in. The owners should feel proud of the Saddle Inn. A Grade II building can be challenging to update and modernise and clearly they are winning! We highly recommend a stay to enjoy Chester by day and the Saddle Inn by night.

A lovely quirky pub. We stayed for two nights and were really happy with our room. Freshly cooked breakfast was a bonus and was lovely. We were in Guns n Roses room which again was quirky but fab. If we stay in Chester again will definitely book here.

An overnight visit to Chester to meet up with some friends led us to the Saddle Inn. Followed their advice and secured free overnight parking very close by. Comfortable nights sleep - NOT disturbed by noise as other reviews have stated - and a good tasty breakfast in the morning to set us on our way. Special thanks to the staff, notably Nancy for her excellent customer care and to Rebecca for the thoughtful birthday room decorations and Prosecco that welcomed us in our room.

A great last minute booking, with free parking just a 1 minute walk away. I booked 20 minutes before turning up to check in, and the gentleman who greeted me was so helpful, I am sorry I didn’t catch his name, but big kudos to him for checking me in, getting me a bev and being so friendly. Immaculate rooms with unique character, a brilliant bar with very reasonably priced drinks for the centre of Chester. From reading the reviews, I am gutted I didn’t get any food! I most definitely will be back, I am dying to try the breakfast. Thank you again for checking me in last minute and thank you as well to the owners, you have a great team and a great establishment, but I am sure you know that already!

From the moment we walked in we felt at home, the music was amazing and even though we showed up close to closing time the owner Lee introduced himself and gave us a personal tour of the hotel rooms which were nothing short of amazing, any rock music fan would feel like they were in the right place and we were very happy to have had the opportunity to spend the evening at the saddle inn.

I have been here a good few times and Iv got to say I love it, the staff are great, drinks are great and the music is better absolutely love the atmosphere and the whole place definitely worth a visit. Not to mention the outside area for is great in summer.

Do NOT book this place unless you are a fan of rock music keeping you awake till 3 am. Traffic outside was irritating . You’ll defo want your money back. However comfy,rock band themed, (if you like that sort of thing!) clean room, good breakfast , friendly host. Will not be returning for sure.

One night stay along with our 15yr old son. All 3 of us stayed in the same room which was very spacious, set out lovely and very clean. We were impressed with the decor and fealt comfortable right from first entering. Yes it could do with a bit of an update but nothing to worry about at all. The management and staff couldn’t be more helpful during our stay right from checking in to having a bite to eat and a few drinks in the bar. Need to say, the meal we had was professionally cooked and therefore couldn’t fault. There was live music playing on the Saturday night which we enjoyed, however we went to bed before the band finished and noise was not an issue as we couldn’t hear it from our room. To sum up, this is a 100% recommended place to stay, excellent venue, people, room, menu and atmosphere. This will be a regular place that we will stay at in the future..... Ps we do lots of city breaks and this hotel (albeit different from your usual chains) was truly amazing.
