The night market is about a 5-minute walk away. The street has many bar and massage touts, but it still felt safe even as a solo female traveler. A 7-Eleven nearby makes it easy to get anything you forgot.
Breakfast is simple—salad, soup, rice, toast, and make-your-own pancakes—but it’s free every day. Instant coffee is available 24 hours. There’s a filtered water tap, but no kitchen or water dispenser.
Common areas are on each floor and behind the front desk. The 7th floor looked the nicest, but sounds echo easily. Watch out for mosquitoes near the front desk area.
The female-only room (806) has a door that doesn’t close properly and seems to need real maintenance. The bed layout is also problematic—if you get the upper left bunk, ask to switch because the ladder is right by the door. One guest even moved to a mixed room because of this.
Despite that, long-term guests were friendly, and I enjoyed socializing with them. Towels and bicycles can be rented with only a 200/300 baht deposit. The rooms are older than in the photos, but overall I think it’s a decent place.
