ホゥアン チャンティップ(Huen Chan Thip)

This place is in an okay location for walking into town. Rooms are large and clean, staff friendly and the breakfast is very good. Unfortunately, there are some rooms which stink to high heaven. The first one we were given had recently been sprayed with a very strong air freshener so we moved to another. This didn't smell fresh to begin with but during the night the smell was disgusting to the point where I felt ill all the next day. We were moved to a third room which was much better though hardly fresh. Considering the amount of accommodation around town I would not recommend this place and certainly would never return.

A lovely small hotel that appears to be family run. For the price the room was amazing. It was clean and had a kettle, coffee and tea etc in the room and bottles of water replaced daily. Also a nice touch having free coffee, fruit and snacks 24/7 in the restaurant part. The best thing for me was the breakfast each morning. I stayed for 5 nights and there was 3 or 4 different, freshly prepared authentic Thai dishes to choose from and also western option each morning. I really liked this hotel and would happily stay again. It has a lovely cozy and homely vibe to it without it being intrusive.

WONDERFUL Only stayed 1 night, wish it was longer.. The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff very helpful. We had problems with our travel when leaving and the owner went out of his way to drive us to the bus station and make sure we took the right bus and the driver looked after us.. Couldn't rate the service any higher.. Will be back.

clean , great location, super free brunch, good staff; english is fine, parking for 4 vehicles, near center of town but doesnt feel like it; veriety of room offerrings available, bed sizes/arrangements etc; large rooms recommended

Durchwachsene Gefühle hab ich im Rückblick auf den Aufenthalt hier in dieser Unterkunft in Chiang Rai. Wir konnten auch noch bis 20 Uhr einchecken, obwohl eigentlich nur bis 18 Uhr die Check-in Zeit angegeben war, nach Abklärung aber kein Problem. Sehr negativ war jedoch dann die Erfahrung im Zimmer. Das Zimmer stank extremst nach Schimmel, war sehr feucht und auch aus dem Bad stand es nach Abfluss. Die Klimaanlage ist mit Schwarzschimmel befallen und somit unbrauchbar. Allgemein ist die Aufenthaltsqualität in diesem Doppelzimmer sehr schlecht gewesen. Leider war um die späte Uhrzeit keiner mehr an der Rezeption. Nach einer Kontaktaufnahme mit booking kam am nächsten Morgen das freundliche Personal auf uns zu und bot uns ein anderes Zimmer an. Ich konnte beide besichtigen, beide waren gut und ohne Gestank. Es waren beide Dreibettzimmer. Wir konnten in eines dieser Zimmer umziehen. Diese Erfahrung machte den Aufenthalt deutlich besser. Leider funktionierte auch das WiFi nicht in dem Doppelzimmer, im Dreibettzimmer nach dem Zimmerwechsel jedoch gut. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und auch vielfältig, variiert auch täglich. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Lage ist ebenfalls gut, jedoch muss man bei der Anreise darauf achten, dass man zur richtigen Adresse gebracht wird denn bei Grab gibt es auf der Karte ggf ein Fehler mit dem Unterkunftsnamen. Kopiert daher am besten die Adresse direkt. Einen Aufenthalt kann ich also nur mit gemischten Gefühlen empfehlen. Von einem Aufenthalt im Doppelzimmer muss ich stark abraten, die Dreibettzimmer sind gut.
