Purchases Restaurant & Accommodation

Me and my partner came out for dinner this evening, we visit purchases all the time and it’s always great however tonight was excellent the service we received from felicity and the bartenders this evening was outstanding! So welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The talented bartender made us cocktails of his choice which were delicious! Would highly recommend! Food was also great!

Once again tagged a dinner at Purchases onto a trip to CFT with friends, not for the first time, as this turns a dash to Chichester Theatre and home again into a more enjoyable afternoon or evening with friends. The food is always very well prepared, with a variety to cover most eating requirements. Our group enjoyed the Sea Bream, Fish and Chips and Pork dishes. Good wine list (Vialetto and Rioja Blanco went down well).

We stayed one night and had dinner in the restaurant. Large and comfortable room. Lovely decor and good facilities. Maybe be a bit overpriced but great location. Dinner was extremely good. Small menu but everything we ate was delicious and the presentation outstanding. Good value. Breakfast was also very good but could have done with a continental option. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Staff friendly engaging& food good standard But we were out in the room at the far end think courtyard dining area. It was not a great room all tables in a row. It felt like we were the naughty children at a wedding. If and I probably will I will certainly not be seated in that room again. Needs a rethink, is it an overspill….No dining room not full,also we were not told we would be seated in the school dining room.

I booked this hotel based on ratings/reviews I had read. I was certainly not disappointed. The room was lovely, exceptionally clean with a very comfortable bed. But I think what really stands out is the service. All the staff were extremely friendly, professional and very capable. We had pre dinner cocktails followed by a really fabulous meal. A very tasty beef Wellington! Breakfast was continental which suited us. My only complaint, and this has nothing to do with Purchases, is there was no on site parking as stated by ***********. If we had known this we would have dropped off our bags and parked the car after. I would highly recommend the hotel and if you don’t stay but fancy a good meal you can’t go wrong dining here.

Valentines dinner set price menu £75 a head, no welcome drinks no rose for the lady no hart shaped chocolate, no music, nothing to say it’s Valentine’s Day, paid in full a month ago and when settling bill they add 12.5 % service charge, so someone has decided I had a great evening and I wish to increase my bill, this has to stop. The food was lovely the service not great. Shame, used to be my place to go for special occasions.
