WRONG ROOM BOOKING FROM TRIP.COM - there is ibis budget (2*) right next door and trip.com wrongly booked me to the budget hotel, although I paid for the full ibis!! Please confirm your booking with the hotel prior to arrival to avoid nasty surprises. That said, ibis *budget* was clean, looked decently newly renovated, and was very comfortable.

Sehr freundliches Personal,sehr gute zentrale Lage,alles wirklich fußläufig erreichbar (Stadt,Strand etc) Frühstück war sehr gut und vor allem reichhaltig. Hotel ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Only stayed 2 nights as part of a coach trip. As a solo within that group I was given a lovely double room, though fairly small if there were 2 in it. Very clean, liked the pod bathroom, though quite a high step into it which could cause a problem for some. No evening meals available apart from frozen pizza, but an easy walk into the town where there are lots of restaurants. Good buffet style breakfast with hot food available, even at 6am! Staff were friendly and helpful.

Only stayed one night as part of a tour group. Served its purpose well, smallish but clean and comfy room with lovely bathroom pod. Breakfast was good though it struggled a bit to cope with 2 large groups. Easily walkable to the town and seafront where there are lots of good restaurants. But remember your way back - a bit tricky down dark paths.

A good couple of nights at an Ibis can often do the trick, and so it proved here. There's nothing much in Ciboure, but the Ibis is in a stylishly reclaimed residential area next to a lovely river with small boats moored along its length. The 10 minute walk to St Jean involved a quick walk under a railway underpass, up some stairs on the other side, across the river and dropping into town. It was a well trodden route for all the Ibis guests! I would guess the St Jean train station is no more 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel itself looks reasonably recently renovated and we benefited from other reviewers' advice to get a larger room for a few pennies more. Well worth the cost for a room 50% bigger plus a sofa. Car parking was in a separate building adjoining the hotel with plentiful spaces and fully secure, if a bit underlit at times. All in all, a good solid choice for a few days in the area.

We had stayed in St Jean de Luz 6 months ago in September paying almost three times the cost of this Ibis as that was for a few nights and were treating ourselves. This Ibis would have been a better choice. It was far cleaner, the service more friendly, the breakfast just as good for far less cost and the parking less scary and at no additional cost (although we did hear the car behind scrape their car against the wall on the exit slope so take care). It’s a good Ibis. Ideal for a couple of nights. We didn’t hear any noise in our room from the trains (although windows were closed) and the walk into St Jean was about ten minutes. For parking go into reception for a swipe key and get instructions. I’d use again for a short stay.

The hotel staff told me that there were no trolleys for luggage at the hotel. A hotel with more than 70 rooms and a car park in a separate building needs to improve on this matter. The hotel is also next to the railway track. When I ordered a glass of wine it came in a sherry glass because “there were no wine glasses available”!! The (very heavy) door to the bedroom does not remain open to enable easy access with luggage. Apparently none of the doors have the usual ‘open door’ facility which I have found exists in other Ibis hotels.

Ibis hotels are well known for being well priced, clean have great staff, and they accept small pets, this one was no exception. We stayed for two enjoyable nights in a room overlooking the harbour. The staff were pleasant & very helpful, the room was spacious and clean. We were a 5 minute walk to the heart of Saint-Jean-de-Luz which made the stay very pleasant indeed...

Muy buena relacion calidad precio, cerca de todo , esta en una zona tranquila y en 10 minutos a pie estas en el centro de san juan de luz. el parking es muy bueno y gratis. por la zona es muy complicado aparcar. Me sorprendio en desayuno , muy bueno . la habitaciòn correcta, y el personal muy amable en todo momento .
