Very nice and friendly staff. The hotel service very good and clean. Lovely stayed. The receptionist at the arrival date was very kind, friendly and helpful. she resolved my issue quick with kindness. Very helpful 6 stars for her. Bar staff during evening and morning are very nice. My husband and I will come back definitely.

Undergoing works which you are advised of after you book which is fine as they are doing a large renovations. I stayed on ground floor, 166 and tv has no signal so don’t bother switching on and WiFi is pretty much non existent any where in the hotel. Staff are wonderful though, there was a young woman (17) on her first day in the bar and she was brilliant, definitely a good person to retain.

Newly refurbed rooms are very good. WiFi signal needs boosting. Leisure facility is great Breakfast was good

The hotel is fine. I’m wondering if the four star rating is a mistake because it’s certainly not four star. I understand there were works going on and one of the corridors was closed off, but when I arrived in my bedroom, it seemed that they had dumped a few items of furniture in there. There was an extra table, desk, chair, and set of drawers in there. It didn’t make any sense and it took up a lot of space. They were also incredibly dirty! I could also smell cigarettes quite badly too, wasn’t sure if it was coming from inside the hotel or outside, but the smell was awful down the corridor. Dining choices were adequate, but very limited. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I wouldn’t be in a rush to stay here again though.

Although we were told that there would be works going on and that there would be Afghan refugees, these issues were not interfering with our stay. Staff vey pleasant and helpful

The rooms are being modernised on the whole good finish. The windows should be better as do not silence trains running most of the early hours. Also the pillow choice , hard hard or harder . Would have been better to close and modernise the whole hotel instead of doing a wing at a time .

I found the staff to be very elusive! I had to look for them for service. Once found they were very friendly however I found this frustrating.

I enjoyed my stay, the hotel is going through refurbishment currently and I’m sure it will be perfect once the refurbishment work is completed

Customer service was excellent, bar staff were excelle t.....their willingness to please was way above standard.....unfortunately the restaurant let them down on this stay as they messed up our meal feom staryer to main course, but overall was still a lovely stay...would definitely come again
