The stump is a very nice gastro pub. Nice beers and pizzas. They used to make very tasty tiramisu but not anymore. It used to be served in slices, but now in a pot, which is heavy on cocoa powder. Please bring back the proper cake instead of pots!!!!

Only two redeeming features for this pub - 1: they managed to fit us in on Easter Monday which we appreciated but only outside 2: my boyfriend had the nduja & chorizo pizza which he said was nice. Bad qualities - we asked for half a pint but they served and charged us for a full pint so obviously don’t listen to customers very well. Most of the menu was pizza based so you would’ve thought that they would be good but apparently not! Mine was sloppy, undercooked and wet. All the toppings slid right off and became inedible. Definitely not worth the money we spent on it. No staff came to check if the food was okay, if they had I would’ve asked for a refund

Found this place on our way back to where we were staying. We were welcomed by very friendly staff and were seated although we hadn't booked. Menu is mostly pizzas and they were good but the centres were slightly sloppy and undercooked. Good lager. Would come back again if in the area.

When I booked on line for lunch last Friday, I added a comment about needing a gluten free meal. However, in spite of having 2 gf items on their menu, we were told that there was ‘flour all over the kitchen’ and that they couldn’t guarantee anything being gf. That’s fine, but why then print on their menus that they provide gf pizza for example (and charge £3 extra for it) but say it wouldn’t actually be gf because of all the flour in the kitchen. Nice pub, but don’t go there if you require a gf meal, including a salad (😳) if you want to enjoy a nice, relaxing meal out with friends. We ended up relocating to The Bathurst Arms, who were able to feed us safe gf meals. 🤔

An overnight stay with breakfast at this wonderful find nestled in the Cotswolds. Our room was beautifully presented and very comfortable and we had a sound sleep having travelled from Heathrow and a long haul flight. Breakfast was served by a lovely young lady who was helpful, friendly and cheerful. A full English is a must! Cooked to perfection and really tasty. I would recommend The Stump wholeheartedly - it is clearly popular judging by how busy it was when we arrived in the evening.

We had a really comfortable stay at the Stump. The room was clean and restful and the bed very comfortable.. we enjoyed our superb pizzas in the comfortable and atmospheric dining room with a lovely open fire . The staff were very friendly and the food superb. The breakfast was exceptional really enjoyed the scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and avocado and my friend was delighted with her full English. All in all, we had a great stay and we’ll probably go back again when we can. Thank you so much to our hosts.

BEST pizza around - chorizo & nduja with honey is a favorite for me. Good selection of wine and beer. Plus such a lovely cosy environment, we love coming here and especially because we can bring the dogs and have a game of pool too. If you haven’t been here yet, WHY NOT ?!

Made to feel very welcome from first stepping inside the door. We had one coeliac and another in our party with food tolerance. The lovely waitress went to check the dishes which were suitable for use to eat. Food was delicious and filling. No rushing between courses either. We will definitely be returning.

We stayed there over the weekend to visit the Cotswolds. The rooms are spacious. A wardrobe would have been nice but didn't affect the overall experience. The restaurant is excellent with a variety of foods. The specialities of the house, the pizzas and breads, are so good that with a bottle of wine you won't miss Italian trattorias. Thank you for the nice weekend. We will be back if we are in the area again.
