Maniumpathy Hotel

We had a lovely stay at Maniupathy and it was a brilliant finale to our Sri Lanka trip. What a gorgeous spot and a real oasis. We loved the shady courtyard with its pool. Our room was very comfortable and the outdoor bathroom a real favourite. An absolute highlight was the Jaffna Thali we had for lunch - very different to anything else we had tried and memorable! Wish we had had more.

This boutique hotel was a real oasis in the heart of Colombo. The friendly and approachable staff made us feel at home in the stylish surroundings, and our rooms were huge and luxuriously furnished. The food was absolutely delicious and always beautifully presented. We also arranged to have two celebratory family gatherings during our stay; one a high tea in the Cigar Room and the other a buffet dinner for 25 guests in the Veranda. Both occasions couldn't have gone better, as the food and service were outstanding, and the staff obliging. We were made to feel very special. The only drawback for us was a faulty air conditioning unit, as we struggled with the heat, having just arrived from the UK. However, the staff worked hard to fix it and gave us extra fans and even offered us another room, so they did everything they possibly could to remedy the situation. We trust this will have been sorted in time for the next guests. We hope one day to return...

A beautifully restored cultural heritage, hosting guests for a unique experience in the heart of Colombo. Maniumpathy combines historical architecture with modern comforts making it a perfect place to stay if you want something a little different to a modern bland 5 star hotel. This was the venue for a family reunion as the house is reminiscent of our childhood home and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff were exceptionally attentive and professional. The food was delicious with distinctive fresh homemade flavours. A special Thank you to Ko****ha for the kind attention to detail and going above and beyond to ensure the day went well for my family.

Hotel is a former 100-year old mansion that has been beautifully and sensitively transformed into a boutique hotel. Each of the 8 rooms is individually decorated with the upstairs rooms being especially spacious. Room decor is reflective of the colonial era (teak canopy beds, secretaries, decorative antiques) with fully modern amenities (lovely bathroom, A/C, satellite TV). We had dinner and breakfast at the property. Both were delicious with spice levels matching guest preference. While more limited in services, the pool is lovely, and the location is excellent - close to higher-end shopping and dining options. The staff was also excellent. We felt like we were guests in a family home with an authentically local experience at a refined level.

我花了幾個星期寫這篇評論，因為我需要找到合適的詞來形容這家酒店和這裏的工作人員。我衹有一個詞…完美！這家精品酒店簡直令人歎為觀止。酒店物業有游泳池，被鬱鬱葱葱的植物圍了起來。然而這裏的工作人員才真正讓這家酒店變得出類拔萃，他們很熱情而且樂於助人。對他們來説沒有什麼要求是大到難以解決的。我們的飯菜真是好得不得了！！我們絕對還會再到這個超級棒的地方的。一個要注意的問題是無線網，在房間裏時無線網信號不太好，對我影響不大，但是可能其他人造成影響。工作人員試着通過放置一個路由器在我隔壁的房間來解決問題，但很遺憾並沒有起多大作用。

We came to this hotel with high expectations from the reviews, glad to say was not disappointed in any way. The room are stunning beautiful, we stay in one of there best rooms and detail to finish was fantastic, when you been out most of the day in the city it was so relaxing to come back to. The staff were so helpful accomadated all your needs, the breakfast and dinner were superb, we enjoyed dinner twice in this hotel and it was worth staying in for. Reception Manager Arjumath was so good at her job so helpful, the staff who cleaned the room were fantastic, also the massage man was excellent in this hotel. The general manager was wonderful man so helpful and made our stay truly wonderful, I wish we had longer here would defiantly come back it worth every moment, thank you for stunning stay.

Great small hotel for stay in Colombo. Friendly helpful staff, cute pool, fab rooms with great pillows & easy to get around by Uber Tuk! Delicious breakfasts with lots of choice & freshly squeezed juices. I would recommend for a few nights in Colombo

This hotel is beautiful and well taken care off. It’s an old colonial home that has been tastefully converted into a boutique hotel. Even thought it is on a busy road you don’t hear vehicle noise. My favourite is the immaculate service and excellent food. I stayed there twice and the second time all the staff recognized me and made me feel at home.

Visited as part of our Honeymoon in Colombo. Was the perfect spot for our stay. Amazing building and rooms, great breakfast and very central whilst still quiet and cozy. Staff went out of their way to also make our Honeymoon special with a decorative display on our return after dinner.
