I like the breakfast and the receptionist is very friendly. If the quilt cover can be softer, I feel better.

We had a lovely stay. The booking process was easy, and communication was good. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. From arrival to departure the service was friendly and professional. We will definitely be back.

The hotel is centrally located, this can be noisy as it is on a main road. The room we stayed in was one of the few without a decent view of Ambleside, which was unfortunate. The room was spacious and well equipped, the bathroom was slightly smaller than anticipated but still sufficient. Saving the best till last the staff were super friendly and helpful, plus the breakfast had plenty of choice and was good quality.

This is our 3rd visit to Ambleside Townhouse and won’t be our last. Location is perfect as all shops, restaurants and pubs are in walking distance. Ambleside is a great base for trips out, we drove to Buttermere, Coniston and Keswick and walked from the hotel to Grassmere. Now to review the hotel, where do I start, the hotel is excellent, the room is huge, the bed is big and comfy, the shower is amazing, everything you need is in the room, if you need anything extra just ask the reception staff, everything is spotlessly clean. The breakfast, especially the American pancakes with bacon and syrup, is perfect. The staff are so friendly and always saying hello, checking in on your plans for the day and making you feel welcome. Stayed here the last week in April - we booked last minute and they were able to fit us in. We had a twin room, and although it was a climb up the stairs (my mum is elderly and so she struggled with them a bit), the view was amazing - room 6. The breakfast was delicious and hot, lots of choice. We were really pleased with the decor and how clean it was. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We would definitely stay here again! What a perfect start to our long weekend in the Lakes. A great B and B and excellent value for money. We were 2 couples and would definitely book again for our annual Lakes trip. Clean and great attention to detail. We loved Room 10 with a view of Loughrigg Fell to have a coffee to gaze at. Excellent in every way. We also walked down to the Lake for a drink in the evening which was beautiful. (about 15 mins). We will be back 🥰

Lovely hotel, very clean and well organised. Room was spacious, double room, with a lovely bathroom, very clean. Hairdryer, towels, coffee facilities are all available, even a tray for your dirty shoes. Flat screen TV and WiFi. Breakfast was really nice and lots of choice from cereal to a variety of cooked breakfasts, justice, etc. Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Our room was facing the back of the hotel so we had no noise from the front street. Parking available, no charge. Central location to everything in Ambleside. Highly recommend the hotel, will definitely stay there again.
