Very cheap old hotel, I’m not happy that we decided to stay there

Absolutely avoid this hotel. Cockroaches in toilets near pool. Asked staff to clean it but still haven't been cleared for most of the day. Pillows nightmare, uncomfortable to sleep. Breakfast and lunch poor. Cheeses and hams served were warm so unsafely to eat. No options of fruit only bananas, apples and oranges. Pool dirty and very slippery, ladders broken and saw poor eldery lad trying to get out but he couldn't. Rooms very loud, can hear everything what neighbour was doing. Animators are very poor, shocking that no joy was there. Night live musicians sounded like me when taking shower, really bad singers. Tennis court cannot use due to no rackets and balls, gym looks like drug den. Entertainment square looks like haven't been cleaned from ages with missing parts and not working machines. Lost couple of 1euros due to machines were not working. Hotel placed in nice area but itself needs proper renovation. Housekeeping took our iron from room without asking and nearly lost €20 but luckily situation was resolved. Pool towels were signed by someone else that deposit was given back. Shocking situation. Lots of birds so chairs are very dirty. Public toilets dirty. Shocking !!! Been in better hotels with only 3 stars! Very disappointed with standard. Saw people checking out only after first night.

Please read Not worth the money paid and 100% not a 4* more like 2*. Needs closing down and a massive refurbishment is desperately needed. Everything so old and tatty , broken windows, doors, floor tiles, fire doors kept propped open with shower gel you get supplied for your room ! The carpets smell awful so windows always left open. Food was not great but we did manage to find something but was cold, not very fresh so only ate in probably twice . Bar and catering staff nice enough management rude and spoke to other staff like crap in front of guest which I find really unprofessional. Pool was ok my son loved it but so dangerous in places , broken tiles , grates loose and Broken , all round the channels was thick green algae Looked disgusting. The room was not suitable far to small , balcony door didn’t lock , mouldy lamp shades, rotten wood floor and sheets always smell like dirty feet. Floor never swept was just dirty all the time . No where to put clothes away. The the bed for my son blocked the balcony door so didn’t even fit. Shower soaked the floor when in use as the screen had no rubber on so water ran everywhere. Positives coral bay is great Good location but what they failed to tell us everything was shut as there was road works so there was literally nothing open nearby. We hired a car to get around which massively made up the for horrendous hotel, we stayed in. TUI and other reputable companies should be pulling this hotel from their catalogue as it’s disgusting.

Just stayed at the ascos hotel for the past week and it was one of my favourite holidays I was there with my 2 children age 7&8 and they had the best time! The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for fun chilled and friendly. Marios from the animation team was UNBELIEVABLE!! A friend to everyone and a true asset to the hotel he takes time to talk to everyone and he brings the banter to the bingo 👌 If you book a sea view room the view is breathtaking. Our room was quite standard with all the essentials like mini fridge kettle hairdryer etc but comfortable and clean with a good balcony. My only criticism is is that all the staff seem to be doing long hours and I’m not sure if they got the respect they deserved .

Spent a week in September 2023 and it was great Went with family May 2024 and was disappointed Staff changed evening meal leftovers served with added herbs for lunch following day Nothing on menu for children Our youngest lived on pasta and chips. Asked chef if he could do fish fingers /chicken nuggets/burgers. His reply was NON. Had to ask chamber maid for fresh towels every few days and eventually got them changed We took to going to restaurants down the ***** so the kids got something varied to eat not what you want when all inclusive Entertainer Marios was fantastic. Pool aerobic in the morning had lots of interest pool noodle fights with children was great to watch. His approach to bingo well worth going to. Great fun. As with any problems you may encounter go to reception We found them helpful

Not the most modern hotel, but very friendly and attentive staff on hand. Great value half board with large selection of food for breakfast and lovely dinner selection in a formal setting. Good fun on the entertainment side with Mario, who ran aquaerobics, Bingo and table tennis, which with a few more years practice might get one game off me 😂 Just 5 minutes to local town and 15 min to lovely sandy beach. Highly recommended.

Not the most modern hotel, but excellent value, helpful efficient staff, good food, especially the evening. Great deserts including coconut cake! Good pool and various entertainment including aquarobics, table tennis, evening bingo. Local village just 5 min walk with plenty of restaurants and lovely sandy beach just 15 min walk.

On arrival we were greeted by a miserable receptionist. Didn’t bode too well but on we went. Hotel room - kettle had all wired exposed, stained toilet seat and sea view wasn’t a sea view at all. It was a side sea view, half of which was of a grotty corner part with rubbish in it. When we mentioned to reception we were told to go back following day, then the following day were told to go back next. Didn’t bother in end (esp when people in front were complaining of water leak) Carpets were stained in the halls and smelt of smoke. Head of bar staff was rude, if you for all I’m done expect snacks/sandwiches in the evening. Pool was ok, little algae on the sides but was ok. Inside pool was yuck. Jacuzzi was yuk. And gym, don’t bother with it! We played table tennis and the table was all sharp on the ends, they didn’t have rackets to play with, net was all torn. One of the pool tables was on a slant. In the end we laughed it all off - still laugh about those bits now! Don’t expect anything from the beach, all rocky off the hotel, and sun loungers near hotel werent like pics at all. Horrible area. Entertainment was medioka! We took a boat trip, blue lagoon I think it was called. Brilliant trip and defo highlight of the holiday! If you want a pool side holiday with nice food this is your place. Anything more I’d say look elsewhere! It’s definitely not the star rating it’s been given! Took a while to get a small refund back from love holidays .. they weren’t interested at all!

I really recommend this hotel. Staff very nice, all positive, helpful, especially Marios, who organizes a lot of activities - Aqua aerobic, bingo in the evenings:) Tasty food, beautiful views :) very close by bus to Paphos city center. Hotel really friendly to pregnant women, because of the location :) Tip: I recommend a tour with Orka Travel organized by Delta Wings - „śladami Afrodyty” great guide lady :)

What a terribly unclean and unhygienic hotel. It is far from a 4 star rating. I travelled with my husband and young children and we were all bitten by bed bugs. On day two, my daughter of 5 years got an ear infection and had to be taken to hospital and both the nurse and doctor suggested that it was caused by the swimming pool at the hotel. The beds are highly uncomfortable with no mattress protector sheets; only a flat sheet on each bed and these were not changed for the entirety of our stay. The cleaners did not clean our room. They simply moved things around, topped up the toilet paper and splashed toilet cleaning liquid in the toilet. Our bedroom floor was covered in beach sand for the duration of our stay. They really need to do a much better job. Food is below par. Limited breakfast choice and it remains the same every single day. Evening meal is slightly better but it is almost the same every single day and there is inly one restaurant. We ended up eating out most of the time. We arrived back home yesterday and my youngest child is covered in bed bug bites and she is very uncomfortable and I have had to seek medical advice for treatment. We have never experienced bed bugs and we have all been bitten. Aside from the shocking lack of cleanliness, staff members, especially at the reception desk, are highly miserable and rude. Their abrupt and rude mannerism is outstandingly off-putting. Management needs to invest in customer service skills training for themselves and their staff members. The restaurant waiting staff are clearly overworked and underpaid to the extreme. I imagine if management have little regard for their customers they would most certainly be treating their waiting staff with even less regard. I can say with absolute certainty that we will not be returning to this awful hotel. It is so badly maintained that it desperately needs new and better investment and new and better management to renovate and replace all furniture, especially the beds. I just couldn’t wait to come back home! Terrible experience.

The food is bland and repetitive, had to eat out most days. The drinks are very hit and miss they put a lot of alcohol in them so they are barely drinkable. When going out to eat local businesses knew the hotel and said they have had many people with the exact same opinions of the food and drink. We had a shower that had no door so it flooded the bathroom which made is extremely hazardous, slipped a few times. A few of the waiting staff were lovely however, the majority could not understand when we mentioned the shower issue and lacked basic hospitality and manners. On a few occasions we were woken at 6 am by the cleaning staff cackling and banging around, and telling them to be quiet didn't help. The singing entertainment wasn't great and would blast music up until 12 at night. There was also no lifeguard and no signs saying this, and locals told me that pools such as this one have to have a lifeguard on duty. The best quality of the hotel is the location and pool area but the rest is rather questionable.

The reception was lovely, so lovely in fact it filled with me with a false sense of security thinking the whole experience would be great. I was wrong. *The pool I cannot fault as it is great a large size with different depths with a pool volleyball area which is fantastic. Along with the kids play area as my child seemed to enjoy it* The food!?! Questionable. The food is horrible with very little variety. Nothing is hot and it’s all just like warm/room temperature & I even went right on opening time to makesure it wasn’t due to the fact I’d maybe left it too long. Even my coffee from the pre made machine wasn’t hot. Crazy I know. If you have children not even particularly fussy children they would struggle to eat here as there’s no “children’s food” Luckily I drive and have a car so if needs be I could go out and find something. Drinks with evening meal is something else also. You ask for any sort of beverage and the staff just disappear for like 2-3 business days it takes so long to get a drink with evening meal it’s honestly impressive. The room also isn’t that great as the bedding doesn’t get changed frequently neither do the towels (every 3 days) - maybe you can ask to get them changed but it states on hotel policy that it’s every 3 days The mattress is dirty as there’s no washable mattress topper which seemed a little bizarre, the air con isn’t nothing special the room seems a little insecure with what looked like a broken door handle. You have to rent the tv remote for €5 I think they might think us brits eat remotes as it is a refundable deposit. But with the iron which is €10 per hour. There is a kettle and hairdryer available to use in the room so I suppose that’s a bonus The hotel as a whole has so much potential and is quite nice but just seems pretty dated and forgotten about. I’ve stayed in a couple of 4* hotels and this for me just doesn’t pass the bar. This place is more of a 2* hotel 3* at a push. The staff seem pretty nice so I’ll give them a mention. There’s also a gym to use and an indoor pool if you so wish & if you like privacy because whilst I was here it was completely empty. This is good thing if you don’t want to social.

It was a nice vacation, the music is a bit loud and later in the night. But in rest, all is good. The food in the morning is always the same and that is not the greatest. Animator is really nice and the activities were great. The chamber isn’t well cleaned
