フィンカ ラ フロンダ(Finca la Fronda)

We stayed for 3 nights with family. Cristina and Alec were wonderful hosts and looked after us so well. They made staying with a 3 year old and a six month old so easy. Lovely breakfast every morning. Delicious food in the evening. Fantastic music from Cristina's husband Oscar on the last night. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and nicely finished. The views all around, but especially from the swimming pool, were stunning. Short walk or drive into the pretty town / village of Alajar or a 20 minute drive to Aracena. It was so tranquil (apart from our group's children) and just a beautiful location and hotel. Couldn't recommend any more highly.

Just returned from 3 nights at Finca La Fronda. We had stayed for one night last year, and returned this year with our adult children and partners. It was even better. Wonderful welcome, beautiful location and food was excellent. We would particularly recommend the Saturday night music evening. Very relaxing experience.

We loved our brief stay at Finca la Fronda. A beautiful rural retreat. We loved opening the curtains in the morning to see the beautiful view. The Saturday night musical evening was fun - Alec’s cooking was outstanding. Great walks down to Alajar. Thanks to Cristina for a great few days.

We have loved our stay at the Finca. Cristina and Alec are the most thoughtful hosts and amazingly bilingual! The site is stunning, wonderful views and the most unspoilt and beautiful villages walking distance away via delightful cross country footpaths. A terrific musical evening on the Saturday we were there. Also Alec is a great cook.

We were travelling the length of Spain after getting the pet ferry from Portsmouth to Santander, and this was our second stop over on our travels with Millie the dog. We decided to stay two nights to make it a real break of it and we were so glad we did! From the first view of the checkered court yard filled with orange trees and then the biggest room (and bathroom!) we've ever experienced, this place did not disappoint. The room opened up on to a small terrace with outstanding mountain views and sounds. It was a short walk to the pool and the main hotel dining room with an honesty bar and tea/coffee making facilities so that you can help yourself. There are lots of trails leading from the hotel for local dog walks. Cristina and Alec were super friendly and helpful, and we can highly recommend eating in the hotel as the food was incredible! Such an incredibly relaxing experience and we're already planning a return visit with more friends next year so they can share the joy.

Always superb, this hotel is exceptional. Areal bolt hole from the stresses of life. Just 1.5 hours from Seville airport but in the middle of the national park of the Sierra de Aracena, you feel you are in a truly unexplored part of Spain. There are lots of walks, some exceptional restaurants (although you can also eat at the hotel really well). Whilst it is not that well know for birding we saw over 40 bird species in the park including raptors. The hotel is comfortable, well equipped and unassuming. It has a pool and lounge area as well as your own little patios. They have also added a new self catering cottage.

Small boutique hotel with the personal service of the owners Cristina and Alex, who give you all the care that you need. The location is breathtaking in the middle of the woods and not too far from the village. Verry big rooms, good breakfast and the option to have dinner on place. A paradise for hiking👍. We joined two friends, who had been coming for years and raving about Finca La Fronda, for a long weekend. We found it lived up to their high expectations. It’s a fantastic place to detox from the rat race. Great hosts in Cristina and Alex, tasty food, wonderful Saturday night cabaret from Oscar, all set in beautiful surroundings. Also good value for money. What’s not to like?

So many travellers whom we talked to during our 17 days stay , that frequent this beautiful oasis nestled in the hills of Aracena and who like us came to enjoy a stay in this almost stately yet welcoming Spanish home were ecstatic about their visit . The Finca has large rooms each with a private patio, beautiful grounds , common areas and swimming pool much as described on their website. Not only for the ambiance and breath taking nature setting but even more for the never ceasing smiles of Christina and her ever attentive offer to help your hikes or visit to the region become a most memorable experience. The Finca is a family affair mornings for Christina and the afternoon /evenings shift manned by Alec with his many but foremost culinary talents by every night creating a true dining experience for us and our gluten and lactose intolerant daughter. So much appreciated ! We travel not so much for relaxation or to recharge our energy but more to experience the most an area and it’s people have to offer. There are great hikes right out of this property. See for yourself what a jewel this area has to offer for the avid hiker/naturalist but above all to come home after a good wander to Finca La Fronda is all you can want in a stay. Oh .. for a nice meal and a most personal entertaining musical performance in the drawing room stay for the Saturday . It’s Wordsworth’s your while. 😊 Diana, Frans and Ria
