"A group of 4 we spent our last night of an 8 day walk at villa San Carlo . Sadly it was late in the season and the restaurant was closed but Paola kindly showed us where to get a meal in the quiet town. As we had not organised transport to Torino we had to take a bus @1-2 k away and then get a train from Alba . With luggage we wanted to get a taxi to the bus stop but there were none to be found .Paola very kindly offered to drive us to the bus stop . We were greatly appreciative . Grazie mille Paola sei molto gentile ! Ilaria"

"Chef Carlo Zarri and his wife Paola were fantastic hosts for our week long stay at Villa San Carlo. They spoiled us with wonderful dinners each night with perfect wine pairings from their extensive second generation collection. During the day they organized tours for us that took us throughout the Piedmont region. Whether is was something we forgot to pack, mailing a postcard, laundry services, or any other inquiry Carlo and Paola were able to gracefully help us out"
