Beautiful location and lovely accommodation. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Quiet. The dining area and bar were beautifully appointed too. Will visit again.

We have previously stayed at Tupgill Park and eaten at the saddle rooms a number of times and it has always been fantastic However we had the pleasure in September of staying for my daughter and her now husbands wedding which was amazing. We had a number of bed and breakfast rooms and cottages for the wedding party. They are really comfortable and were beautifully decorated. The Bell Barn was the perfect venue for the ceremony . We ate on the Friday night in The Saddle Room and also had breakfast here. Then had the wedding reception in The Hayloft. The food is excellent and we felt the portions were generous. The wedding breakfast was so tasty and plentiful. The staff here are so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The fact that the ceremony and reception plus the accommodation are all in the same place made everything so easy. It really is the perfect venue for a wedding but also a lovely place to stay and eat at anytime. The Forbidden Corner next door was an added bonus for the Sunday morning before we headed home. We would happily recommend you visit on any occasion or for a wedding. You won’t be disappointed

Superb accommodation disappointing dining Stayed last week Very impressed initially with location and quality of accommodation. Beautifully appointed room with a pleasant view and in a tranquil setting. We had high hopes of a special dining experience however it was far from it. Firstly the bar area lacked any form of atmosphere or character. Restaurant :- Nice decor and the dining booth we were given was comfortable and private. We ordered food at 7.30pm no starter just 2 mains, the meal arrived after 40 minutes minus the side dishes which took another 10 minutes to arrive. Sadly the mains when they arrived were barely warm and the fillet steak was far too overcooked and tough. We were offered replacement dishes, by this time it was an hour after ordering so we declined as we were hungry. We ate our meals but did not enjoy them. The restaurant staff were very apologetic but clearly the fault lay with the kitchen. There appeared to be no overall control or Maitre D presence looking after restaurant or bar area. Overall we had a very mixed experience, a real shame as it has such potential.

Having eaten in the restaurant before, and been impressed, an overnight stay at the Saddle Room was always on the cards. Pleased to say that is most certainly did not disappoint. Check in was as expected, efficient and friendly. Room was very well appointed and the fresh milk in the fridge was a nice point. Would have liked to see a couple more tea bags in the tray though! No complaints about the breakfast either, so would highly recommend a short stay at the Saddle Room.

Beautiful setting. Spacious rooms. Felt very pampered! Little luxuries like dressing gown and slippers as well as toiletries, tea/coffee etc. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

fantastic escape from the world. the moment we arrived it was a WOW moment driving up the driveway onto the estate and then arriving at reception. we were early so used the bar area and chilled for a couple of hours.
