This was a nice hotel located downtown within waling distance of most restaurants, shops. There is a small pool and nice view of the water. It was across the street from the water. You cant really get in the ocean across frome the hotel but if you take a left out of the hotel and walk 5 minutes, there is a restaurant, Jeanies and a beach club, No Name Bar, you can hang out at, have access to the water, beach chairs and do some snorkeling. Just have to order a snack or drinks. These places are across from Mega supermarket.
Breakfast is excellent. Fresh fruit, they cook you an omelet, have fresh oj and grapefruit juice.
There are dive shops and snorkel boats all around. Beach clubs and beach areas are about a 20 minute cab ride south. Cabs are safe but expensive.
I dove with Roberta Scuba that week and did Fury catamaran sail and snorkel.
I ate at Tacos Mexicana several times. Cheap, authentic tacos. I also had a good Meal at La Choza and La Molina (has beach access).
One warning, do not stay on the first floor. I was in room 116 and my view was a large wall. Make sure you have a 2nd floor or above or pay extra for a beach view.
Tv only has 1 English speaking channel, Fox News. There is a small refrigerator but no microwave. I had two double beds and i believe a pull out couch. There was a small desk and 1 chair. No chairs outside. Not a lot of places to hang up dive gear, swimsuits, towels, etc. Next trip I'm bringing some command *****s.
