They lobby and the vibe in the lobby were great. Once you step out of the elevators onto your floor “you’re not in Kansas anymore” it’s a total vibe shift, in the worst way possible. Bad carpet, terrible lighting, and then walking into the rooms is very underwhelming. The furniture is distasteful and sp****. The carpet and curtains are hideous, and the bedding and pillow situation is absolutely abhorrent. After seeing the first room we were offered and knowing we were paying close to $500 to stay for one night I was compelled to ask for a better room. It was oddly shaped weirdly situated, and had a very undesirable bathroom.
The king size bed looked about the size of a normal queen, maybe three or 4 inches wider, and still the two tiny pillows on the bed, didn’t even come close to breaching three-quarters of the width of the bed. They were smaller than standard pillows and filled with pebble sized foam pellets. Unbelievable that Bonvoy would be OK with putting their name on a hotel with such sp**** amenities. The other two pillows were squares, hard as a rock shams. We got upgraded to an executive suite, it had the same exact pillows and terrible bathroom. It was larger in size, and included a sofa and coffee table. Hotels should realize that bedding is the most important aspect of a hotel room. Without proper comfortable bedding, there is very little, if any sleep. that brings me to the comforter that reminded me more of a wafer than a comforter. It was thin and stiff. Nope!
