La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Florence

The room we stayed in was in need of significant updating. The Heat/AC system was incredibly loud and sounded like it was broken. However, we were almost thankful for it because the walls seemed to be so thin, we could hear everything in the rooms next to us and in the hallway. One of the beds in the room squeaked so loudly from bad springs, it seemed like someone was playing a joke on us. The shower spout was leaking and the porcelain tub had visible chips in it and water stains. The drain in the bathroom sink was partially clogged so the water would back up in the sink if you ran the water for more than just a few seconds. Our room rate included breakfast in the morning, but when we went downstairs the food bins were empty and the staff clearly couldn’t keep up with the number of people wanting to eat. I hate to give a bad review, but this was pretty bad and I will say, was nothing like the last time we stayed in this hotel back in January when we had a much more pleasant and positive stay there.

The stay was nice area was nice room was clean but need too be updated. Other than that really nice place to stay

Staff was friendly. Room was ok but floor had a greasy feel and when you turned on the air conditioner it had a very bad urine smell.

Tub leaking, no shower curtain, no soap, rust on the bottom of the tub, and the phone did NOT work. Receptionist was a housekeeping member, too!

Room was fine, clean and comfortable.The breakfast left a lot to be desired. The bagels were stale and no meat with dried out eggs.

We found the inn to be comfortable but a little worn. We were only there for one night so it was fine. The staff was very accommodating and the breakfast was good.

Overall, the place is just a bit shabby and run down. The carpet in the hallways looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. The furniture was chipped. Much of the room was dusty, or only partially cleaned. Dirt and hair in corners, that kind of stuff. The sheets and pillow cases were all crumpled up. I think they were clean, but it's hard to be sure when they look like that. There was a bright light shining into our room - but the curtains can't be moved to block it out. The room was a connecting room (which we had not booked) and sound traveled a lot. Our neighbor was watching something all night long with a lot of foul language, it blared through the walls. A lot of other travelers had dogs, which barked and carried on outside. The pool was closed. The breakfast was okay!

The rooms were clean and the pet fee was very reasonable. The staff was friendly and helpful!!

Hotel was average. Room was a little dark. No one at the counter at check-in or departure but they came from behind the wall very quickly to acknowledge me. It was pouring rain and we were exhausted, so it may have taken something extraordinary to make my stay above average.
