バン デル バルク デ ビルト ユトレヒト(Van der Valk Hotel de Bilt-Utrecht)

Travelling on a coach tour with Johnson’s UK. The greeting was lovely and friendly. We were given our rooms very quickly and our cases arrived soon after. The room was large with two single beds and the usual tea, coffee etc. plenty of plugs. A nice addition was a door to the outside, in my case a small patio. As I was part of a group we had buffet meals each evening. They were a selection of cold meats and salads, then a hot selection of meats and often chips but they did change to rice and potatoes on some days. Sweets and fruit were always available too. Coffee and tea but I could not always find plain English tea so took my own and only found milk at breakfast. Breakfast was plentiful with cold meats, cheese and hot offering of sausage, egg in variety forms and bacon. Bread but not toast. Fruit, yogurt, granola etc. With drinks there is no menu or price detail in the buffet area but walk past reception into the restaurant and you will find one on the table. There was confusing over how to pay for drinks but we found in the restaurant where we went after dinner most evenings you paid each time. No swimming pool at the time I visited which was a shame

We had a good time in Van der Valk Hotel. Room was very large, so does the double bed and the bathroom. Particulary appreciated the huge shower. Pretty clean and accepting dogs. Also enjoyed the private parking.

The location for me is great as my son lives less than a 10 minute walk away. All of the hotel staff are always so very kind and helpful. The hotel is very clean and you could never go hungry after visiting the amazing breakfast buffet.

The hotel is far away from everything. If you stay here then you have to eat all meals here. Taxi 35-40 euro each trip to the city Center. At the end it costed me a lot more than the nicer hotel in the Center. Our heater was broken and we suffered a freezing cold night that made us all having a cold the next day. They changed us to another room after we complained as 4 nights without heat would be impossible, but we think that the manager should offer a drink or something to make a nice gesture . A part from that the staff were nice though.

Nothing has changed since my last visit a few years before covid. Very poor foam mattresses with a double made from two singles and foam topper! We both finished with bad back pain. Never again! No mini bar stock available. - suggested I went to supermarket! No toaster in breakfast hall.

I enjoyed my time at the hotel. , The The location was perfect for me as it was a few yards from a sculpture park and the woods. The staff were helpful and pleasant. I particularly liked my room and I thought the price that I paid which included breakfast was good value for money.

The hotel was such a warm place to return to after long days with a family member at UMC Utrecht. The staff were always kind and helpful. One evening they held the restaurant open to allow me to get a quick bowl of soup. Highly recommend

Lovely hotel with delicious breakfast. Very friendly staff and would definitely recommend. The hotel offers reasonably priced bike hire and there is a bus stop just outside the hotel. The rooms are spacious and very comfy.
