マヌカ クレセント モーテル(Manuka Crescent Motel)

Lovely reception when we arrived. The room was clean, large, and well equipped. Shame it didn't have air conditioning although it does have a fan. Located a 10 minute walk to the center of Wanaka which is very beautiful.

The host was very helpful with planning our stay and visiting New zealand. Our room was well equipped only minor issue was weak shower and soft beds. Parking is very good with only short walk to our room. Would definitely book here again.

旅館離小鎮很近，入住後按照別人的攻略走了5公里，找不到看冰川的觀景台，四周看去，也找不到雪山的蹤影，想想也許因為是春天的緣故吧！

The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. When I became ill the owner called paramedics and helped my husband pack up the room. He also drove my husband to the medical centre and helped with the luggage. The motel is only a little way out of town - a couple of minute's drive from the town centre and restaurants. Very reasonably priced in comparison to other places we stayed on the South Island.

The hotelier lectured my wife twice over the phone on using ******* to book, stating we should be supporting NZ businesses by booking direct, and not sending money offshore to the US. On arrival, I had to listen to the same spiel, and also that he had cancelled our ******* booking, as discussed with my wife, which was an outright lie!! She did not authorise him to do so. He also rebooked our room direct so he didn’t have to pay fee’s to ******* (hoteliers words). He discounted us a few dollars less than our ******* cost…wow!! Because of this we have now lost loyalty rewards of around 4-5 times the value. We travel a lot, and always book through the app, but we shouldn’t have be confronted over how we book. We don’t have time to ring around trying to find available rooms; and we shouldn’t have to justify why we book the way we do either. We will not stay here again, nor will we recommend. If planning on booking through the app to get rewards, I wouldn’t bother as you probably won’t get them! Other than that, the room was fine.

Room and furniture smelt like cigarettes and ash tray outside was full, curtains were torn.

No one at reception when we arrived, notice on door “ be back shortly”. Rang phone number on the notice, no response for 30 minutes, staff member was inside but forgot to take notice of the door. Unit was small, bed not made up properly chairs uncomfortable. Bed very hard, club chairs. Room looked tired and needs an update, not value for what we payed. We do not recommend this stay.

Very accommodating and friendly host. We were on two motorcycles and he kindly let us have the front unit with hard standing parking. He pointed out places of interest and things to do in the area. The unit was clean and tidy with plenty of space. Comfortable bed, shower over the bath but great pressure.

This fit our needs just fine. Kitchen was adequately supplied. Beds were comfortable. Not fancy and maybe a little higher than our other south island hotels but a good place
