パノニア ホテル(Pannonia Hotel)

Good location about ten minutes walk from the train station and just across the street from the historic area. Shops and restaurants all nearby. More like a three star than a four star hotel really. No kettle or fridge, only soap in the bathroom, the worst pillows I’ve ever seen (had to fold up clothes to use), no English language tv stations available. The room and hotel were clean but it has a rundown feel. Unfortunately there are not many hotel options in this small town.

I had higher expectations from the fotos. In general I love old grand dame hotels, even if they have patina. But the Pannonia was just a bit too dark and cold, especially in the public areas. In my room, I also had to ask for someone to make the heater work. I think this hotel is in need of a spark of motivation, more than renovation. The old furniture is not the problem, it is quite authentic in the lobby actually. The price-benefit-ratio is at least very good. And the service of the lady at the reception was outstanding, seems she has to take care of everything, and she is a real asset for the hotel.

Freundliches Personal, obwohl wir die Landessprache nicht beherrschen. Zimmer und Bad sind überraschend groß, die Tiefgarage günstig und die Altstadt ist gleich gegenüber. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Perfect place to stay for one night close walking to everything. Staff was very friendly and helpful breakfast was awesome.

The hotel is very nice with good location. It was easy to find from the main station. I loved that the old town is right in front of the door. The staff was very kind. The breakfast was delicious. The spa was unfortunately unter reconstruction in august but there were enough things to do and see in Sopron.

I stayed 3 nights in September. Classic-style hotel in a great location. Nice, large rooms and very clean. Staff are excellent. They were all very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel, very nice and helpful staff, and Sopron is the last middle age citadel in the European Pusta. The breakfast was very good, trying to accommodate all tastes and culinary necessities. The only thing is that in Sopron there are not too many restaurants to eat, but plenty of bars, pubs, places to drink and bar menus. We arrived on a Saturday evening around 7:30 and it was no restaurant open. We ended up in a pub and had a salad, which wasn't that great but the atmosphere was very nice and we enjoyed the place a lot.
